Cafeteria style Filipino lunch spot low on ambience with pretty good food. A little expensive for what you get. Had the Plato bento which came with lumpiang shanghai ( two pieces, very good and meaty), pork adobo with rice (4 pieces of meat), mixed pancit (canton & bihon, meh), rice and a bite of buko pandan. My companion had a combo special: bangus sinigang (milkfish in tamarind based soup), ginataan kalabasa (squash cooked in coconut milk with shrimp and string beans) and a big bowl of rice. Overall a decent meal, but with so many options out there, we won't repeat.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible, stairs at entrance.

It may be a hit and miss at times, depending on the time of the day. I like the food in this area, close to the skytrain. The chocolate meat sarap!

We ordered here for family day worth $130 and we got a few containers of food that are obviously not fresh. There’s only a few chucks of meat and maybe 2 vegetables in each containers. These small bowls can’t be $10 each. This is embarrassing. Don’t order their entrees, their combos might be better. But go to a decent filipino restaurant instead if you’re paying this much money. NOT WORTH IT.

Plato is a traditional Filipino cafeteria style restaurant with a wide spread of cooked entrees. The food tastes really good, I especially love the laing (taro leaves in coconut milk), pork sisig (sautéed crispy pork), and turon (banana fritter with jack fruit). The service is friendly and accommodating. I appreciate that the staff members took their time explaining the dishes to non-Filipinos.The dine-in experience was uncomfortable for a few reasons. One, even though there are quite a number of seats and tables, there is no washroom in the restaurant for customers. They also keep the front door open even though it’s winter, meaning my food got cold quickly and you need to keep your coat on while eating just to stay warm.

This is my 4th time eating on this restaurant with the same problem. If you don’t look rich or special your rice will have some part of old rice and watery rice because they mixed it with the newly cooked rice. The food doesn’t taste good. I never had finished eating my food here, I always have left over. The beef is very hard as rubber. Rice is half okay and half watery. The server talks a lot without mouth cover i saw one the server her saliva went to the food in front of her. I don’t recommend this restaurant. The only last option if other restaurants are closed. ❌❌❌

Had lunch here today. Servers were nice. Food is tasty in general. The food servings though, come in very small amount with a very small amount of rice. Carrots added on the beef dish were almost raw. I asked for tinola soup but the taste was far from what tinola is all about. I can't even taste a hint of chicken in it.

Leche flan was great, highly recommend it. Meat Lumpia was great too. Veggie Lumpia was not so good, too big and very bland, mostly sprouts. Menudo tasted okay but very oily.

Plato Filipino takes me back home with their authentic Filpino dishes. Name your favorite dish and they have it!I commend not only their appetizing food but also their great customer service. The front staff are nice and helpful.I recommend their Combo Special where you can choose any two dishes and a cup of rice. My husband loved their Lechon Kawali, Buko Pandan and Leche Flan. Yes, they have a variety of desserts as well! So many to choose from so we always make sure to order takeout. We will surely go back again. ☺️
