I really wanted to like it. I remember their chocolate cakes being so good but this time I went, it felt like it wasn’t fresh. The macarons also felt very artificial in flavour and colour and they were hollow shells. I feel like the quality isn’t worth the price anymore.

One of the best Cafes in Vancouver. Excellent bakery and great coffee in a real French setting. They aim to please and they do not miss. Don’t forget to take a baguette home with you after coffee time.

Pre Ordered a 6” cake to give as a gift. This is how if was given to me. It was embarrassing delivering it in such a huge box. Also as the cake was so small the box was unstable. Not the service expected for the price.

I decided to try Faubourg again after a disappointing visit several months ago , and now I know I don’t need to go there again. In a city like Vancouver where you can find buttery, authentic croissants and phenomenal coffee, Faubourg is resting on its laurels and nowhere near the standard of other French bakeries in the city. My cappuccino was milky and watery and the croissant dry and rubbery. I don’t believe they are using butter, and if they are, it’s not working!

Nice and quaint, but still a good amount of seating. A little slice of French living in café form in Vancouver.Parking: There is decent street parking in the area. May have to do a lap, but will find one within 2-3min walk

The service is always quite slow, but today was particularly bad. After waiting 30 minutes, only one of our meals had come out. Finally someone came to tell us that they just hadn’t made the second meal and would refund just that one meal that hadn’t been made. After waiting half an hour and making one of us wait with food in front of us while the other got no food at all, this felt like a pretty weak response. Personally I thought they could have done better in their response to this terribleService.

*this happened at the downtown location but we felt people should see this review before wasting their money during hot chocolate festival*If I can give zero star, I would! To begin, we arrived there at 2pm, wanting to try the tiramisu hot chocolate. Then they told us it is sold out and the only other hot chocolate festival drink they have is the Choc’cuterie board which cost $25 for a set for two people. We have 4 people, so we ordered two set (total of 4 drinks plus food). After a while we got one set. Then we kept on waiting and waiting and our second set was never made. So we finally asked the lady if our second going to be ready soon? And she checked her screen and realized we ordered 2 sets! Not just 2 drinks! So we were waiting and waiting. Instead of quickly making our set which we have been waiting for ages, they kept making other drinks for customers who came after us.After we got our second set, then we realized some of the items don’t match what they advertised in store and online on IG. When we questioned the cashier why there’s missing item, they said oh they did the photo before finalizing the drink for the festival. So we said this is false advertisement. We ordered the set based on the photo and what we got was not what it looks on the photo. They refused to replace us with the missing chocolate balls. So for the drink, you need to put the chocolate balls in the cup and pour the milk yourself. One of our metal milk jug was missing a handle and it was super hot to pour the milk out. I can’t believe they even decide to use the broken metal jug. The cookie tasted stale. The muffin was so so too. Worst of all, we came here for hot chocolate festival and the hot chocolate drink was worse than what we can make at home ourselves and we paid $25 for it.Super disappointed! I also posted this on IG and they saw my story and no response at all. Will not go to Faubourg anymore! Hope you all see this before spending $25 on craps. My unlucky friend who went an hour after us ordered the same thing and was equally disappointed. However, when our friend went, they were offered either white or dark chocolate balls. When we asked, they said they only had dark chocolate balls. What a joke. So one hour after they have white chocolate balls.

We went to the Davie Street location as part of the 2024 Hot Chocolate Festival. Extremely disappointing. Their special Tiramisu hot chocolate was made with a thin chocolate syrup, not advertised ganach. Staff were unsure how to make it. We asked for dine in mugs and plates and were given take out. Hot Chocolate was lukewarm and bland, and the muffin was stale. We will definitely not be returning and will be leary of their other locations.

Some of the best croissants in the world! Had the double baked pistachio and chocolate today. Fabulous! Crust that cracks like glass fluffy interior, dark chocolate with crunchy pistachios!

Came here to try the Hot Chocolate festival.I love the neighborhood, but was a bit underwhelmed by Faubourg and how it's maintained. Tables were dirty and a lot of customers including me had to spray and wipe ourselves (with the paper towel and sanitizer bottle above the garbage collection.) The dirty dishes bin was overflowing and the garbage bin was full.I know there is no time limit for dine in customers, but a lot of people in the back had laptops out for hours and no active dining. It was hard to find seats.

Tried their holiday special Chocolate Forest Bûche cake. It was rich in chocolate but not too heavy or sweet. I like it!
