Tried another new place for Sunday brunch. Slickity Jim's is on Main Street. Far size narrow restaurant that's open until 2:30pm.Get there early! We arrived around 11am and didn't get seated till 11:30am. Long wait but food was delicious!I had the Huevos Rancheros. It's a big helping loaded that was actually enough for 2 people. We also ordered the short rib Benny, ham & cheddar omelett and breakfast burger. Also ordered the pancakes. They were more like crepes than pancakes. But we still enjoyed them.Staff was very friendly and atmosphere was lively. Must try spot! You won't be disappointed.

Went here for breakfast. Cozy little 'greasy spoon' diner that really kicks itself above the greasy spoon label. The dining room is covered in tchohkes, and the interior feels like a cozy basement. True to the name, there was a good crowd chatting it up when we arrived and the atmosphere was very homey. The menu offers both simple breakfast fare and interesting creative takes that I wouldn't mind diving into someday.I had a scrambled egg sandwich with smoked salmon (and other typical fixings) on an English muffin that was a real winner. It came with a surprisingly tasty greens salad that you don't really expect with breakfast, but complimented the fishy sandwich nicely, and hand to God, then best damn hash browns I've ever eaten. My partner had eggs Benny with the eggs so beautifully and perfectly poached that it felt like a shame to actually eat them. Also at this place, they definitely like their hollondaise sauce lemony with a good tang to it.

Decent place for brunch. Would go back, but would not get the short rib breakfast sandwich. No salt and no taste to the chimichurri. Potatoes good, caesar good, cute interior.

Always a good meal at Slickity Jim's. I got the corn bread with scramble and chili. Yummm! The wait was about 15-20 min during peak lunch hour, which isn't bad. Usually we just kill time taking turns browsing Welk's. Great service here too.

Very cute little gem. I went with a friend for brunch and enjoyed overall experience of dining here. They had good service and food. Their pineapple mimosa and fig and brie benedict is a must. They have a lot of options for egg benny lovers. I will definitely be back to try other items

Definitely hands down My favourite place for brunch in the city. Great eggs benny great location and great atmosphere. Can be busy during “regular brunch hours” so there could be a small wait but I’ve never waited longer than ten minutes. Staff are super friendly. I recommend!

Had new year’s breakfast here today. The food was better than expected! Great classic diner fare with just a bit extra. Solid prices and portions. Excellent vibe and good music.

Had a great time. Went for breakfast and got a boozy coffee and an eggs benny. Full points for both. My sibling got the chorizo breakfast bowl with a twist...it was VERY good. Enjoyed the ambience and decor and music. It's got a folksy feel to it. I do recommend you try it!

The food is good, just not outstanding. Servers are overall attentive and friendly.

A breakfast gem in Vancouver, tucked in on Main Street. While the decor looks like a cross between an antique store and your grandma's house, Slickity Jim's really delivers on its food. What really sets this place apart is the options on the menu. While you can get a classic trucker breakfast, you can also get elevated items, like creative options with cornbread, grilled tomatoes, omelettes with prosciutto and more. Each with a fun menu name that helps you visualize a feeling of what you're about taste. The portions are seriously generous, the service is no frills, and the menu is refreshingly different in a breakfast industry that has gotten bland.

If only there were a 3.5 option... food was pretty good. Lots of options but the Huevos got soggy almost immediately sitting right atop its wheat wrap, which was supposed to be a corn tortilla. (And almost no chili on there - this was a really small dish.) The service was super grumpy, the decor super fab. We were excited to see that they offer the Impossible burger. Though the menu doesn't tell you their burger always comes with bacon, so a pig nearly died for nothing! Boo. (Server saved us there.) The burger toppings sure could use zhuzhing up - no cheese, no sauce... I didn't even see a pickle on there and yet they charged us more to sub out the bacon, which is always a jerky move. Coffee was disappointing too.

Needed breakfast before some Main Street shopping on. Saturday morning. This place is full of quirky and fun decor. Was with the family. Two teenage boys so big appetites. We all ordered something different and everything was fantastic. Highly recommend
