The chicken jalfrezi was delicious and tender 5/5The lamb Karahi was a 0/5 for me. Was so chewy and no taste to it. Quality of the lamb was poor.

Our friends organized a farewell dinner for my wife and me at Sula Indian restaurant! Opting for Sula was an excellent decision, and we all had an amazing time enjoying both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The each bite of appetisers and delicious curries were bursting with flavor, leaving us wanting more. The waitress provided outstanding service, assisting us throughout the meal and even taking great photos of us. The ambiance and decor added to the overall experience. I highly recommend Sula to anyone who love vegetarian food and Indian cuisine!

The atmosphere was good, we ordered one nin veg dish and there was no spices or taste in it. It was tasting like tomato purée and chicken added in it.

Have been wanting to try this restaurant for 2 years now finally went tonight. Great service and atmosphere but food was lacking. It was good no doubt but not as good as other Indian restaurants I’ve been to. I love Grace of India on kingsway and gateway to India in nanaimo BC and this food doesn’t compare. Had lamb biryani, butter chicken and another lamb curry. Butter chicken tasted tomato’ey and lamb rogan Josh was very watery.

Sula lived upto our expectations of being a good fine dine Indian restaurant. We ordered kofta dil bahar and mughlai paneer korma along with garlic naan, lachcha paratha and cilantro, onion naan.Overall the food tasted good, the breads were soft and fresh. Kofta dil bahar was a treat, the sauce tasted perfectly well balanced and Sula served us just the right amount of spice we needed. The mughlai paneer was a little bland though, it could’ve been more seasoned but wasn’t a bad dish overall. The ambience and service was great. We felt well cared for and would definitely recommend going hereVegetarian options: Has ample vegetarian options on the menu

This is not for the people who are actually looking for an Indian taste food, food is very mild in taste. “NOT FOR AUTHENTIC INDIAN FOOD LOVERS!!”

Sula does not disappoint, it is not as much a restaurant, as it is an absolute culinary journey to the far east, that transforms you from modern day Vancouver to the ancient markets of timeless India. The atmosphere is beautiful, friendly and inviting. We were seated next to a georgous waterfall emptying into a crystal clear pond teeming with large gold fish swimming among each other and ringed by tropical plants, white rock formations that helped add the perfect accent. As we sat , we were attended to regularly by polite and professional wait staff while listening to ambient music, that was low in volume so we could talk, but really help set the mood for delicious Indian cuisine to come.I could not speak more highly of this place. From the moment we walked in the door till we left, we were treated like royalty. The manager was kept a close eye on customer satisfaction from a distance, while remaining updated constantly of any concerns or needs, which were addressed immediately. The food itself was literally the freshest, tastiest Indian food I have ever had the pleasure to taste. My wife who is a food blogger, absolutely felt the same, and said this culinary masterpiece check all the boxes for her.The portions are very good size, the chicken and lamb literally fell apart on the fork. The sauces were not heavy and oily, but incredibly packed with flavour and lovingly prepared with the freshest spices that you would find being sold in the busy markets of Delhi and Punjab. Our evening was topped off with an incredible and delectable chai cake, that was the perfect blend of tea with a light airy cream filled pastry that was indescribable. For the two of prices were extremely reasonable and we brought home a bag of take home containers that will probably last the next 2 day.Without a doubt this is a must visit location and we would not hesitate to recommend and revisit this amazing dining experience.

We tried Sula because it was highly rated for Indian food in Vancouver. Other reviewers were right. Very good chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and naan. Nice atmosphere. We drove up from Bellingham WA.

I am not sure why this place has good ratings at all. I have never been more disappointed in Indian food outside than this place. They have food which basically does not even have good taste. I ordered Malai Kofta and I guess I was given stones in the form of kofta because for the life of me I couldn’t break them let alone eat them. When told the server he mentioned mostly they have non-Indian crowd so they prep the food accordingly well that explained the missing taste but the stone part he just laughed and left. Are you kidding me???????? I have tried this twice and both the times disappointed. Never coming here again!!
