My delivery was really subpar :( the sashimi had liquid seeping out see picture and beef bento the meat was very tough. The onions were not fully cooked and hard. Tempura cold.

Lovely little mom-and-pop sushi restaurant. Sushi is very affordable and definitely tastes like it was made with care. Food is always fresh, tables are clean. Been here with friends and gotten the party platters which are amazing and very generously portioned.Very good service, waiters always make sure everyone has what they need and that their water/tea stays filled. One of my favourite sushi restaurants here

Sumire sushi is consistently delicious and fresh. The staff are always friendly and remember you and your order from previous visits. The wild salmon oshi is a favourite, although everything on the menu is great!
Affordable and decent sushi along Broadway. For a small space they have a decent amount of tables and the decor is nice. The large window in the front lets in plenty of light.Their rolls and nigiri are quite cheap. They also have bento boxes and an all day special where you can choose 3 items for $15.95 and it comes with a miso soup. I've tried their rolls and nigiri. The ratio of rice to filling is balanced in their rolls. Their rice is a bit on the drier side, but it's still good. However for the nigiri, I found the rice to be too much for the fish as it was too compact, so I would just stick to the rolls. Their deep fried items are fried nicely as it is crisp and doesn't taste oily. Overall, it's a great place for takeout or dine in. For the price and portions, it's a good choice for the area.

I was surprised to find such delicious sushi with generous portions at such reasonable prices in VANCOUVER. Everything tasted fresh due to the quick turnover. I will definitely be visiting again soon.

Went to try this place out today as a local but we decided to leave before we even ordered.We could hear this raspy coughing sound coming from behind the food counter and saw that our server was coughing non-stop, not wearing a mask, and using her bare elbow and hand to cover her mouth. It was evident that she was sick from her frequent coughing and sniffling.We sat for about 5 min and we observed her pouring waters in the back while coughing over them and not covering her mouth because both her hands were full.This is the point when we looked at each other and decided to leave and go somewhere else. Not sure how the food tastes, but I didn't want to chance the server getting us sick.
