Its hard to find a great Japanese place in Vancouver, you have a 50/50 chance. Super Hiros was great! I had the fried shrimp and the fries. The food was incredible, hot and fresh and the service was great. Would recommend 10/10

Really nice staff and great food! Portions aren't the biggest though but the nice environment makes it up!Will come again!

A great restaurant needs just delicately made food, a tiny bit of creativity, and an unpretentious air + price point. I think Super Hiro's has those. It makes for quite a warm and comfortable dining experience. (We came for lunch, though, and there were no raw fish options.)

Tried the karrage set and the pork cutlet curry. Both were good. Cutlet is different than other places as the breading is thin and crispy and also sliced diagonally. We also tried the garlic salt fries which were tasty and crispy. The fries were very cheap as well. The waitress was very polite. It seems this place could use more customers but for now I'll consider it one of the hidden gems in the west side

Highly recommend. Fantastic experience beginning with our phone call to book a reservation. The owner (I'm assuming?) explained some recent changes with the menu so we knew what to expect. The food was amazing -- our group of four shared 5 appetizers and ordered our own mains. Everything was delicious and the prices are very reasonable. I absolutely love the Japanese wraps. We will most definitely be back to try more. The warmth and hospitality provided by the staff made our dinner hands down my most memorable dining experience ever, let alone in Vancouver. Thank you for making my 30th birthday one I will never forget!

Nice atmosphere with authentic Japanese food like what we would see in Japan. Very good quality. The katsu don was delicious as was the age mochi. The set menus also looked amazing.

Yummy sets and nice environment! We had deep fried fish and shrimp set, and ginger pork set. Both yummy and the presentation were lovely. We have also ordered a miso egg plate appetizer. It’s really good too. The owner couples were super nice. We will go back for sure to try their other dishes.

I love how Yui and Hiro are always so welcoming and greet with you with such kindness. Their service is top notch! Also their ingredients are very fresh and perfectly cooked every single time. Keep up the great work Team Super Hiro!

We came for lunch to support the small business during this difficult time. This is a family restaurant managed by Japanese chef Mr Hiroki and his wife. Delicious food, family taste, beautiful plating. We ordered beef hamburger steak with hiro's fries as side dish. The handmade beef patty was soft and melt in your mouth. Top with Hiro's special sauce, though a little bit sweet for me, this is the kind of sauce that you can eat two bowls of rice together. The fries are Japanese style furi furi fries, perfectly fried. We ordered Pork tonkatsu set, came with potato salad, deep fried vegetable, fresh salad and grapes. Food are fresh and you can tell they are prepared by heart and not the standard, franchised quality. We recommend and we will be back.

I am so glad this place is finally getting the recognition it deserves. Incredibly friendly owners, amazing food, and now that the pandemic is finally waning, I look forward to enjoying the warm ambience! Great spot for lunch too!

Hiro-san and his wife are the best people! They remember us each time we come. Their food is top-notch and always on top of mind for special occassions. I am amazed at how under-rated their restaurant is. Literally, I've had their Omakase menu for each season, and I'm always impressed with the creativity that comes into play both visually and in taste. I've gone to many different Japanese restaurants for omakase, and by far Super Hiro is in my top 3. I encourage more people to try them, if they haven't already. Note: their menu has changed since the pandemic. They are still excellent.

The spicy fried tofu and it's dip sauce (made of eggplant?) were exceptional! Fried vegetables in the set were also amazing with their light but crunchy texture. The lobster was a bit heavy though. Service was very friendly and welcoming.
