Nice lady server here. The sushi here is priced really good. Cali roll for $5, miso soup is $2.The food tastes good and with good presentation.I would eat here again if I was in the neighborhood.

Sushi place just outside Granville Island. Indoor and outdoor seating. Industrial appearance, could improve on the lighting as the exposed cement makes the interior dark. Variety of art work on display. Friendly service with a large menu. Beautiful soft music in the background. $$

Kid-friendliness: They have plastic plates, cups and utensils for my 3 children! They make it so easy to dine in with kids. Food came quickly and it's yummy!

Hi as a Japanese the sushi was a little sad and fishy… service was good! Rice was not done properly or using the poor quality one. But again, service was really good.

The sushi was bombskies! Didn't take a picture of what we ate, but couldn't leave anything behind. The restaurant has cozy, homy and warm

The sushi, Raman, udon, gyoza and edamame were amazing. This place is so under rated. Gave it a 4 star for atmosphere only because it's small, but everything else was amazing. Great service and amazing, fresh sushi ?

I expected the food to be better than this from reading the reviews and seeing the pictures. Quality of the sashimi is subpar, needs improvement. Hard to come back.

We ordered some rolls, chef's deluxe sushi, maki and salmon nigiri. The rolls were all "crab" meat and mayo based so just ok (and too filling). The salmon maki and nigiri werw the best. The chef's special was ok but nothing too special... Generally the nigiri rice was a bit warm (not good)... I would suggest going for the basic salmon sushi. The place was clean and in a quiet neighborhood with lots of parking. There weren't too many people for dinner though (only one other table on Wed evening around 7:14).

My friends and I were doing one of those long bike rides across Downtown during the summer. After a couple hard hours of pedaling all over, it was time to grab a bite. Looking around, we ended up choosing Sushi Hanabi. For a hot day, it wasn't too overly hot. There was a decent breeze that made the seating indoors bearable overall. The restaurant is quite small but does do outdoor seating in the summer. I went with the Favourite Roll Combo as I was quite hungry for food. The rolls overall were good. My friends did mention the sushi rice didn't seem quite right in the sense it could have had too much water in the making process. I thought it was overly off in taste. The value seemed decent as well getting 3 good amount of rolls for $17. I was happy enough with my time at Sushi Hanabi. I imagine whatever issues we had that day were one offs and I would be happy to check it out again for more delicious sushi.

We were in the area and decided to take a chance on this place and boy are we glad we did. It was our first time and the food was delicious. Ellie was our server and she was absolutely amazing!!! She’s the sweetest woman from Bali Everything we got was delicious - but my absolute favorites were the salmon hug, jalapeño bomb, and salmon Oshi. this place is really good and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Worst sushi i have had in Vancouver. The shrimp nigiri was stiff and dry and smelled bad and old. None of the food tasted good. They said they were totally out of salmon when we walked in and then i was served 2 things with salmon in them with my lunch sushi order. Space is poorly maintained and decorations are disorganized and cluttered.

Was totally surprised by how bad the food was here. We came very hungry and predisposed to liking the food. Chicken udon - broth was overly sweet and noodles overcooked. The unagi roll tasted fishy and hardly had any unagi. I ordered the Chirashi bowl. The fish was not fresh and the rice was the worst. Looked like it had been reheated and I'm not sure it was seasoned anyway. Overheard the next table over complain to server that their fish was frozen and inedible. Was shocked. Paid the bill and left without eating most of the food. Server didn't even comment on the uneaten food.
