Order takeout today. The sashimi are too thin to my liking as it loses texture. The chopped scallops on the chopped scallop sushi do not taste fresh. The aburi sushi has too much rice compared to the fish on top. The crunchy element on top of the salmon aburi sushi get soft for takeout. Overall okay food quality.

Not overly thrilled with this place. I met a coworker who pre ordered food and we met at Sushi Mugen. There were numerous open tables inside and every table outside was open. Myself and my friend thought it would be fine to eat the food that was BOUGHT from there, but nope! So it's unlikely we will ever order from there again.

I don’t know how I hadn’t found this place before. This is for real the best sushi place I’ve ever been to in Vancouver. It’s very good food and everything tastes so fresh and the presentation it’s just amazing. Service can improve a little bit but for the type of restaurant it doesn’t matter that much. We tried the Yummy yummy roll and the Awesome yummy roll. They came 8 pcs each and we spent $30 for whole service. I can rate them both 9 out 10. If you’re walking by, you should definitely give it a shot!

Came here on the recommendation of a few friends while on vacation and it did not disappoint!I could not tell you what my table ordered, but what I can tell you is that the presentation of every dish was mind-blowing and it all tasted even better than it looked!I'd give this 6 stars if I could, a definite culinary highlight of our trip!

Huge menu with endless options, as well as a try hard take on standard fare.Special Dinner Bento: Good value here, at $29 you're getting a huge plate of beef teriyaki (bulgogi basically), which is cooked to perfection. Smokey char, great stir fry. This sits on a bed of salad leaves, which sits on top of a mound of stir fry veggies.Not to mention the two huge mounds of mash, and some other small side dishes.The oshi is okay - way too dense and packed, and the rice isn't vinegared well. Sashimi is okay, not the thickest cuts.The rest of the menu is actually pretty good value with most rolls under $15.Doesn't take AMEX. Expect $20-40pp. Drinks are decent, $7 a pint which is amazing.
Every time i come here, i have a bad experience. 30min wait for an order of 2 rolls, forgotten food items, and the worst portion sizes. This place has outrageous prices and cant back it up with good flavour even. the worst rolls ive seen, lose, gummy rice. will not come back, a shame because i live so close.
