This place is good even though it is small, the staff is friendly and everything I have tried is awesome. We didn’t wait too long for our order. My favorite dishes are BBQ chicken and Ground Beef,I think the quality-price ratio is 10/10, the best thing is that they always maintain that quality of the food.Coming back again and all recommendations for this Thai restaurant??

Very yummy the three of us each loved our different dishes which probably means it's a full menu of satisfaction! Service (bringing food out at very different times) can improve. Last person got food when first person was done. Three of us.

My husband and I ordered two Pad Thai dishes and one spring roll last night. However, we were disappointed by the poor quality of the food. Unfortunately, we both experienced food poisoning the following day, and my husband is still feeling unwell. When I reached out to the restaurant owner to explain our situation, I was met with a dismissive response, saying we never had this issue. Despite this, I believe it's important to provide honest feedback. The restaurant may need to address food safety concerns to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Great diversity of flavours and variety in the dishes they offer. I enjoy ordering takeaway or delivery on a regular basis from Thai Basil. The servers are very friendly and the kitchen staff prepares orders quickly. I find the seating somewhat cramped so generally do not dine in but given the size of the restaurant's seating area it's understandable it would be tight. Portions are good and their prices are very reasonable. Their quality is on-par with more expensive Thai restaurants in the city.

I've been a (kits location) customer for almost a decade now, so I wanted to give the downtown location a try as well. I didn't find the food to be as good (the green curry I ordered lacked a bit of flavour overall) as the Kitsilano location, but it was still really good. Highly recommend it if you're into thai food and looking for a quick, healthy and affordable meal downtown.

Ordered the Thai noodle soup for lunch: no seasoning/spice/flavour - liquid was like hot water, not the nuanced Thai flavours or chemical heat I was hoping for/expecting.I wasn’t asked for spice level when ordering. So disappointed.
Pros: Indulge in authentic Thai flavors like pad Thai and red curry. Enjoy hassle-free parking nearby. Relish the charming ambiance for a delightful dining experience.Cons: During peak hours, expect potential longer wait times. Calling ahead is recommended for better planning

they have been consistently good quality, fresh, authentic, and well priced food. Service is good. I heard the owner treats them to vacations and treats them very well which is important. I have been a regular for many years. Some of their dishes are better than others. Of course certain places offer a tastier Thai dish for 18-30 dollars but I’m often paying only 12-15 dollars at Thai basil. Sometimes I love my dish, sometimes it’s ok, sometimes I don’t like it much. But overall I am a consistent customer for many years.

Cheapest Thai option I've managed to find in the area. Not the best, but good enough that I keep coming back. Wouldn't recommend the BKK Pad Thai or the Lunch Special Soup (broth and noodles with choice of protein), both are flavourless to the point of being gross. Service is relatively quick and staff are always nice.

Hole in the wall of earthly delights. We just arrived to the West End and have already eaten here twice. Delicious food, reasonable prices in a cozy little street side room with sweet, caring and hard-working staff. A new favorite, son loved it, too.
