We ordered side items and family styled it between the three of us and still walked away with leftovers. We had the meatballs, pulled pork poutine and Brussels sprouts. The standout for me was the truffle Mac n cheese, which was highly recommended by our server, Danielle. Overall, we enjoyed everything about our meal. We finished the meal with a big slice of vanilla cake with chocolate icing. The cake was moist and frosting was decadent. It was easy to get a last minute reservation, finding street parking was easy, service was great and we never felt rushed for a Saturday evening.

The Smash Burger was juicy and satisfying, while the West Coast Seafood Paella boasted a of fresh seafood. Both dishes hit the spot, leaving us fully content and already planning our next visit.

went for a bite and drinks before going to a pottery class. drinks took a lil bit to arrive, we wernt in a rush so not a thing for us tonight.I had the short ribs - knife not needed. it cut with a fork. mash, bone marrow, and veg werecooked perfectly. partner had the squid. cooked well, not overdone. both VERY flavourful. drinks were great. we tried a few different cocktails and a cider on tap.margarita was a little heavier on the spice than I'd anticipated but my partner loves spice so no worries.would definitely go again.

Food gave me hives. What additives are being used? I also detest the server adding 18 percent tip without my consent. Minimum wage has increased nearly double so why tip unless I feel like it. Also liquor taxes must go

Pigging out…If memory serves me correctly, the last time I been to this Piggy place was in Gastown (yeah been awhile).Decided to come by the new location on West 2nd for a quick late lunch before my king crab dinner reservation which was 2 hours away (yeah I feel sorry for my stomach sometimes). Easily found paid street parking right out front.Greeted by the friendly staffs and were led to the table. The bar with high tables were to the front, dining area on the middle, kitchen to the back. A nice little casual contemporary style place. Here were the food I ordered;1. TFP Bacon bourbon Caesar drink. Pretty decent.2. Pineapple guava waltz. Nice little drink for the ladies.3. Salt & pepper Humboldt squid. Pretty flavour and very tender. Good little appy for drinking.4. PEI mussels and frites (entree size). Pretty tasty but unfortunately the mussel meats were tiny, if they aren’t plump and juicy, to me it’s a failed (yes I understand it depends on season, but regardless still paid for it).5. West coast seafood paella. It’s okay but I definitely wouldn’t categorize this as a paella, it’s more of a risotto. (I was hoping for a nice paella lol).6. Beef short rib added extra bone marrow (extra $9.25). The short rib was really tender and flavourful, the bone marrows were good but had so little amount on each one. This is a nice little casual place to have a few drinks and catchup on things. The staffs were pretty friendly and attentive. As for the food, nice flavours to most of the dishes but could be better in terms of more selective quality (the mussels), don’t wander too far off from tradition (the paella), and don’t be afraid to give a little (the bone marrows were too shallow).Overall, everything was okay and full from PIGGING out here…

Stopped by flying pig for their happy hour! They have all day happy hour on Mondays and Thursdays! I tried their spicy margarita, mussels and meatballs. The spicy margarita was nice and got spicier towards the end. Meatballs were cooked well and the sauce was amazing. Mussels were just ok - single portion for sure and the fries are more like hickory sticks.

Was our first time at the Flying Pig last night and we were absolutely blown away by the food & the service! I enjoyed the steak, which was easily one of the best I've had in a long time. We very much appreciated the guidance and wonderful service from Lacey as well. Will definately be back for the oysters!!

The food at the Flying Pig never lets down, drinks were also fantastic and everything was aesthetic. Service wasn't the best this last visit, however our server may have been newer as he seemed a bit stressed and was forgetful. Overall good experience- will be returning again in the future.
