We ordered a large order for our office St. Patricks day event & the food and service did not disappoint :)!! Steve and the team were amazing, the chicken fillet rolls & curry sauce were just like home. Everyone was very happy!

I recently dug into the breakfast roll at The Frying Irishman in Donnellan’s Irish Bar on Granville Street. It was loaded with tasty sausages, smoked rashers, crispy hash browns, and black and white pudding. Finding Irish food that satisfies my cravings for home can be a challenge. But this spot? It's a taste of home in every bite. If you're looking for some authentic Irish grub to kill those cravings, look no further—this place hits the mark ?

Very authentic Irish takeaway but with much higher quality food than most local takeaways in Ireland would have!
Ordered chips and a chicken fillet roll . Chips were awesome, by far the closest thing you can get to home . The chicken fillet roll however was very disappointing. One it was half a chicken fillet roll not a full baguette. When you think of a chicken fillet roll , you think of a soft freshly baked cuisine de france baguette, nicely cooked moist breaded chicken along with whatever tickles your fancy . This was not it . Chicken was dry and tough with no flavor. The baguette could be used to hammer in nails on a construction site. I'm pretty sure a visit to the dentist is in order after having that . Chips were good though.

Ordered my food at 6:30pm the food arrived at 8:45pm , I ordered curry cheese chips the cheese wasn’t even melted the chips tasted powdery due to being undercooked. I tried to salvage them by putting them in the oven but ended up with soggy undercooked chips. The battered mushrooms were also stone cold a WASTE of $34. My house mate ordered a snack box they delivered chips and wrote on the bag “we’re out of chicken” instead of calling and refunding him. I wouldn’t waste your time or money on this place.
Finally a place that sells proper chippy chips! Don't believe the other "fish and chip" shops, they sell fries. But these are proper like the UK and Ireland. Curry sauce was pretty delicious too! The large chips were slightly smaller than the UK but to be fair it is still a good portion.

Believe the hype. The chips are legit. None of those other pretenders even come close. The first real chip shop I’ve found in 7 years. I’m never going anywhere else.

My order took over two a half hours and that’s before the driver even had received the food so it was not the drivers fault. The chicken is bone dry and seems like it was bought from no frills. The fries were under cooked which is surprising because they had two and a half hours to cook them. This order was placed on Sunday the 29th in the evening. I would blame it on the staff but the quality of the chicken is poor the fact that it was poorly cooked just adds insult to injury. ?

Having grown up in Essex, England, i can verify these are very authentic british/irish chips. Definitely a nostalgic taste of home, I’m sure i’ll be back and educating my kids on what proper chips taste like! Thanks!
