So excited to have found a gluten free bakery next to a great coffee shop. The carrot cake, tiramisu and peanut butter brownie was delicious and moist. The brownie is not too sweet and paired nicely with the peanut butter frosting. I enjoyed the oatmeal raisin cookie and the chocolate chunk cookie which were also Dairy free. Both had soft centers and crunchy edges. The double chocolate cookie was a bit too soft and spongy for me. The brioche cinnamon bun was also a skip next time as it was quite dry.The shop also sold pizza slices and sandwich which I didn't try. The selves are also lined with a variety of gf mixes and flours, cute kitchen items and soaps. I especially appreciated that they sold chocolate from No whey which is allergy friendly/ top 9 free and vegan. They also had frozen cakes and pizza dough and pies. It is a total gem. I love the variety this place offers and their diligent labeling and knowledgeable staff

Hit or miss with the friendliness of the staff, but the food and the selection is amazing. Most gluten free places only have super sweet stuff and bread, but you can get so much here. Their s’mores bar is my favourite!

18yrs I have gone without a real donut. Today my world changed. Their yeast donut blew my bloody mind, I ate it in the car and then went straight back in for 2 more, I’m making up for lost time here. No idea what magic they conjure up but ya it’s amazing. Even my non GF friend was blown away (I only let her have a bite hahaha).

The GF Epicurean is a staple of the Vancouver celiac community for a reason. They carry a huge array of GF goods in a dedicated facility, and also have an options for vegetarians and vegan. They also, notably, carry a lot of savoury GF pastries and treats, which is something I don't come across as often with GF bakeries. In addition to the baked goods, they also carry a big selection of frozen or refrigerated local GF goods, frozen take home & baked good, cookbooks, and pantry staples, as well as some lovely kitchen-related items. have a small drink selection as well, including smoothies and local kombuchas.Notable pastries: the knish, the boston donut (fridays only), savoury galette (seasonal flavour rotation), the salted oat cookie.Dietary restrictions: 100% dedicated gluten free facility. They have options for vegans and vegetarians as well.
I was passing through Vancouver and I like to look for new GF cafe/Bakery and found this one on Google Maps. The girl helping me was super friendly and suggested different items to try. The sourdough loaf, pizza bun and the baguette were amazing! Taste just like regular bread, but gluten free!! Yes it is a bit pricier than if you buy at the supermarket, but any GF person knows it is worth it to get artisanal items sometime! Will definitely go back on my next trip to the city.

Pizza, banana bread, and sausage/veggie rolls are really good. Really not keen on the doughnuts. The danishes used to be so outstanding. Now they're really bread-y. Not sure what happened.

Im so disappointed with my cake I got for my birthday - my partner bought this for me for my birthday and the icing was just pure gross icing and the cake was dry and really disgusting! It was my first experience with GF Epicurean and, based on that, I can’t even consider using this bakery again. Be ware before you drop $70 on a cake - you’d do better making your own cake or buying a chocolate bar.
