Last night in Vancouver, so booked a table at this small Italian restaurant and loved it. Food, wine and service were amazing. Loved the meatballs to start, my wife’s gluten free Alfredo was excellent and the tiramisu was to die for. We will definitely be next time we visit

It seems there are new owners. The food here in 2022 was great. I brought a friend visiting from out of town here for dinner. Both of our dishes were awful. And the waiter was rude. Do not recommend.

Quite nice little neighborhood restaurant. Decorated well.Kitchen....rather disappointing. We ordered pasta carbonara. The bacon was burnt, see the photos. I reported it to the boss who didn't even seem to care. No commercial gesture to apologize....very disappointed. I do not recommend

Today we wanted to have a dinner for our anniversary at 8 pm and they said they are close even though there were people inside. Be sure that they are open before you go.

food still good , but service is kinda odd now. went there for dinner on new year eve, get an email confirmation we could have the table for 2 hrs and after 75 minutes, the waiter Chris told us we need to leave in 15 minutes even tho he just took our order for main courses. the restaurant is so small but he still manage to ignore us when we try to order more drinks. may be he is unhappy that he need to work that night . won't go there again on special day.

This place was among 5 that my friends and I ran through to find the best Tiramisu in town, here is the break down of all the 5 if you were in hunt for tiramisu:1.The Italians: the best one so far, a bit sweet and runny cream though. (8/10),The Carbonara and the Bolognese was 8/10 if the pasta was Al dente would have been (9.5/10) compared to what we had in Rome.2. La Forêt: good lady finger to cream ratio, tasted like meringue, too sweet (4/10)3. Via Tevere pizzeria: too much lady finger, tasted weird like white chocolate, kinda too sweet (3/10), used shaved chocolate instead of cocoa.4. Fiore famiglia: caky, too sweet, had whipping cream(2/10)5. Sopra sotto (commercial dr): perfect lady finger to cream ratio, tasted right maybe needed more yolk, not sweet at all, light and fluffy (8/10)!

I’d like to lead with the positives. This place is a very charming little spot with dim lights, candles, nice music, overall nice ambiance. A great date place. Service was also friendly and attentive. We had higher expectations for the food based on other reviews, but were left disappointed, unfortunately. The food was good quality but basic at best. We ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo which they say is “the real” Alfredo - but honestly it was just milky instead of creamy and cheesy - very bland. We also ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese - the pasta was not a pappardelle, but a fettuccine. Maybe they thought we wouldn’t know the difference - but we do know the difference! Pappardelle is wide egg pasta and very different from fettuccine. They served both dishes with the same pasta! The pasta was drowning in sauce and was soggy - overcooked. The bolognese was really just a tomato meat sauce. Having had a real bolognese many many times (it’s one of my favourite sauces) in various restaurants and in Italy, this one was far from an authentic “Italian” bolognese. Not impressed at the least. There are some good Italian restaurants in Vancouver, this unfortunately, is not one of them. Just our experience.

We were excited to try this Italian place located in Davie Village. Great ambiance and service was great and friendly. We ordered a capers e salad to share. We were disappointed the salad had no basil, we were told that fresh basil is hard to find right now. The two dishes we ordered were the Pappardelle alla Bolognese and Spaghetti alla Carbonara. The Bolognese sauce was way to salty for my liking, but some may find it quite tasty. The Carbonara was forgettable not bad but have had better. Overall not a bad place.

An amazing hidden gem. This restaurant is cosy, welcoming and all round great. It’s very small with not many tables, so would definitely advise booking as people were getting turned away. The pasta is cooked fresh and was absolutely delicious. We had bruschetta to start and it was fabulous, rigatoni and spaghetti as mains and again, amazing, and for desert we had tiramisu, which was one of the nicest I’ve ever had!! This restaurant is a must!

After four days of plowing through an amazing array of sushi, Thai, Japanese styled tapas, Chinese, and hand pulled noodles, we were on the hunt for two things and two things only: a superb and simple pasta and a nice glass or two of wine. Mission accomplished.Had a meal that was utter perfection here tonight. The pasta hand-made in house: Pappardelle alla Bolognese and a Taliatelle al Tartufo, both exquisite but in particular the tartufo.A somewhat pricey bottle of Borolo lived up to it's fee and then some. Service was impeccable and we were treated to a complimentary lemoncello to end the evening. Not typically a fan of the stuff, we thought this was superb. This is a really cozy and intimate, even romantic kind of restaurant with low lighting, nice music and just the right touch of everything. The owner is from just outside of Rome so the dishes reflect that kind of taste and treatment. As someone that has spent a great deal of my life recreating Italian dishes at home, it was a real treat to dine on this kind of quality. Perfecto! Told the rest of our family we had met here for the short vacation to get The Italians on their must dine list on the next visit. Same to our hotel front desk and now to Yelp. Very highly recommended.

I went to The Italians with my partner for Valentine's Day. When I made the reservation online it stated a 90-minute time limit, which was fine with us.Upon our arrival we were seated RIGHT beside another couple despite the restaurant being a little less than half full, and our seats were directly facing them so it was kind of uncomfortable trying to avoid awkward eye contact the entire time. The server immediately told us we needed to leave within 90 minutes to allow for our table to be given to another couple. It felt a bit pushy but okay, no problem, we told him we understood. We ordered a bottle of wine and appetizers but were again told by the server when the appetizers arrived that we needed to decide on our main dishes quickly. I asked if we could have a few minutes to eat our appetizers first, and he said something to the effect of "time's ticking!" then gave me a look as if I had just majorly inconvenienced him. This was about… 20 minutes into our 90-minute time frame? The appetizers were delicious by the way, we ordered the Bruschetta, Olives and Burrata. After more reminders about our time remaining, we scarfed down our main dishes quickly because by this point we just felt awkward being there. The pasta was good but a little bit too salty - we got the Tagliatelle al Tartufo and the Spaghetti alla Carbonara. I then asked if it would be helpful for us to move to another table to enjoy some dessert and more wine (keep in mind the restaurant is still about half full) so our specific table could be given to the next couple. Our server then told us the next couple was no longer coming, so we could take our time and relax! We should be so grateful!!!We did stay and enjoy the TERRIFIC Tiramisu for dessert, but overall the experience left me feeling like we were unwanted here. It was meant to be a nice dinner, not like we were being ushered through the line at Subway. As an aside, they only have one restroom and there was a girl loudly puking inside for quite some time. This wasn’t the BEST ambiance to hear throughout dinner, although that's no fault of the restaurant’s.
