Austin, our server was amazing from start to finish. We have been to the Granville Island Keg many times but last night was the BEST service ever. Austin, you are a class act! Thank you!

I've eaten at this Keg many times and usually have a great experience. I had a reservation for a lounge table. We sat at the first banquette, but there was a light over the host's station, shining directly into the eyes of my friend - so we had to move. Server was very accommodating. We moved to another table near the end of the bar - and there were multiple lights facing my friend. Perhaps the light bulbs were recently changed, or the fixtures were cleaned and not positioned correctly, or the setting was wrong ... or?? Doesn't really matter: the Manager needs to figure out the cause and resolve the positioning/direction and light levels of the pendant fixtures in the lounge, bar and entry areas. My lettuce wedge salad was not fresh: a whole rusty patch on the core of the lettuce. I left the rest of the salad as soon as I noticed it and It was removed from the bill Our Server Emilia was very apologetic, friendly, professional and accommodating.

Easter dinner at the Granville Island Keg with my sister and son. I had the 7oz filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes as a side (broccoli included). Best steak I've had in a long time. Perfect medium rare bordering on medium cook and beautifully seasoned. Server was very pleasant and informative. A glass of Blasted Church shiraz was the perfect accompaniment.

Atmosphere and service were top notch. We ordered escargot for apps and prime rib for entree. Escargot was the star of the show. Our steak wasn't as juicy and flavorful as we expected but still decent overall. We got a free dessert as a birthday gift, so lovely of them!

Very polite staff. We also had a chance to talk to keg’s lovely Chef, Ron. Overall we enjoyed our lunch here! Thank you !

The kind of place to enjoy a meal then take a pint of ice cream from and enjoy it as you stroll about. Lost the darn lid to it though.

We had to wait a long time for each course which is very unusual for the Keg ( one course we didn't get at all )! Perhaps it was an unusually busy night. We will still come back as management treated us well.

Considering it was my husband's birthday, I was surprised they stuck us in the back in the dark in an unwindowed area. Also it smelled. They were busy in the front and forgot about us in the back.

I love the keg and have been going for decades. My family always celebrates special events at Keg. Service and food are usually great, but man, today service was dropped so hard at the front door. A hostess' one duty is to meet and greet at the door. Today the brunette hostess completely failed this. I came in and saw the hostess at the podium was speaking with her colleague about tables. I did not want to be rude and interrupt so I waited several minutes infront of them to finish. Would have been nice while they are talking to at least look up and say "I'll be with you in a minute, were just working out some tables" but they just kept talking, anyways no big deal. Her colleague finishes and leaves, but yet she continues to completely ignore a person standing infront of her holding a kid with a bright pink jacket. This is at prime time dinner at 7pm. No acknowledgement, zero awareness, no eye contact/smile, just continues to wipe menus and sort things in the podium. Couple more minutes go by, and what surprised me the most when standing infront of her was when another customer comes in, walks right beside me to advise they have a reservation and this hostess acknowledges and serves her while I'm still standing infront of her. Im wondering am i invisible? Six foot dude holding a kid? She continues to greet this next customer, until I wave my hands high in the air directly infront of her like "Hello????" and finally she says hello. I asked her if she saw me and advised I had been waiting in line infront of her, and her first excuse was to point at the back of the restaurant and say something like there was a problem over there and that's why she was mentally occupied or something. I didn't bother asking for details because it was irrelevant to her duty at hand. If you got time to wipe menus and greet other people, Im not sure what I did to be ignored like that. I asked her how long of a wait, 45 minutes, no big deal, coulda waited but her poor response and lack of sincerity left such a salt taste in my mouth that I decided to leave and was compelled enough to write about this at the restaurant next door while eating dinner (where we were happily and promptly greeted at the door, a simple hello! was so easy and great). You gotta do better ma'am, your job is to scan, service and acknowledge everyone that comes in and of that door. Hate to write this about Keg, at this time will not be interested in returning to this specific location.

Took my mom here for her 65th birthday. There was a handwritten card on the table with well wishes addressed to her and the dessert was on the house. It made her day extra special. Fantastic food, everything was delicious and our server Michael was attentive.

We love the food here every time we visited the Keg. The atmosphere at the Keg Granville Island in the dining area is great. It felt very cosy and private and the food come in a short period of time. We were very happy with our dinner for sure!

Poor service by wait staff. She was spending 10 min at tables talking non meal delivery and left others waiting for attention to food. Food was undercooked, cold and just simply worst quality ever.
