Great spot for fish and chips right near the beach. There’s no outdoor seating, but the window tables have a great view. We came on a Sunday around noon and brunch looked delicious too (eggs Benedict, mimosas) but we stuck with fish and chips and a couple of pints.

Staying alive by the bones - forever will be the favorite of locals!!Vegetarian options: Better than many other pub options in this town... You'll be fine as long as you order off-menu... Therefore, it may not be a good option during peak hours on any given day.Dietary restrictions: The kitchen here is (physically / architecturally) tight, so they cannot work to every modification ... But they will work with you to provide a dead-honest "yes/no" w.r.t. any restrictions or allergies.Parking: WestEnd parking is always going to be a nightmare ... But, there is a valet service next door.Kid-friendliness: License does NOT allow kids here.Wheelchair accessibility: This venue is perhaps 70% hi-top tables that are not wheelchair-accessible. The surrounds, entrance, washroom, etc are 100% wheelchair friendly.

I dropped in out of the blue on a Saturday afternoon and had a most wonderful time. I ordered the fish and chips and it was 100% perfect, absolutely the best battered fish I've ever had. The hostess was delightful and engaging. I sat under one of the overhead heaters with a fantastic view of the bay and a perfect spot for people watching. It was a magical afternoon, god bless the cook!

Called ahead, was told we didn't need a reservation, showed up, got kicked out for not having a reservation.2 stars because the ambiance was neat.

Nice vibe, amazing view, and great cocktails. While I enjoy the pudding, the salty biscuits don't quite complement the experience.

This pub has been an institution on the corner of Denman and Davie for a long time. It is known for its expansive view of English Bay. We went on a Tuesday during Happy Hour. Their lager beers were a good value but the appies for Happy Hour were mostly out of stock. So, we ordered appies from the main menu. They were chicken wings, special fries and a vietnam roll. All were overpriced and only average. Ambience was just OK as was the service. i get this feeling they are not taking care of the place as normal. We have been here a few times and previous times were much better.

This place should be good about 2 years ago. The food decrease his quality and the service is very rude now days. If you like to have a good beer, go to the bar across the street.
