This cafe is modern looking inside with only one server today. She was really nice and accommodating. I appreciated the service as we spent over 3 hours at the cafe. They have lots of interesting choices on their menu. I ordered the mushroom risotto and my friend ordered the blueberry yogurt sauce spaghetti. They both came with tonkatsu. We also received a free small dessert for ordering two main dishes! It was a nice treat for us and the food was tasty and came in big portions. It's a bit hard to find parking and we ended up parking on the residential street at the back. This cafe is not too far from my home and I can easily come back. :)

Calling all weirdos! If you LOVE Asian fusion food you gotta check out Weirdo Cafe Aburi Takoyaki Smoked kiss Blueberry Yogurt Pork Chop Spaghetti Sunset Bay Seafood Risotto Medusa Miami Tea Valley They have a HUGE selection of unique fusion dishes. I really enjoyed the Blueberry Yogurt Pork Chop Spaghetti and I highly recommend this dish! It's so perfectly balanced and very filling. You also can't go wrong with their Risotto which was so creamy and delicious ~ We finished our meal off with a Milk Tea Ice Cream Toast tower because there's always room for dessert! I'll definitely be coming back for more!

Interesting fusion restaurant, with Asian-inspired dishes. Get the risotto and pesto clam spaghetti.**Miso Snow Roasted Chicken Creamy Risotto $18.95 - really enjoyed this one! perfectly creamy without being too heavy. Great portion of meat too (I think it was pork chop or chicken steak). Very filling and worth it.**Pesto Clam Spaghetti $20.25 - good portion of clams. Pasta was a tad bit soft, but overall I'd give it a 8/10. Fresh pesto/basil really makes a difference in flavour. My favourite dish, tied with the risotto. Bonus points for the tree-shaped shortbread cookie on top because why not. It was a very cute touch!**Tea Valley $15.50 - milk tea thick toast. House-made milk tea sauce, you can really taste the tea flavour. Buttery toast too, they definitely take their time/effort to make this which I appreciate.Titanic Crab Cake $9.95 - not very crispy on the outside, I'd pass on this. It's also imitation crab meat.Aburi Takoyaki $10.95 - torched aburi was interesting as I've never seen takoyaki done this way, but overall was a bit plain/dry.Drinks:Midsummer Nights Dream $11 - very pretty green drink (good for photos). Tasted like melon.Pink Panther $5.50 - non-alcoholic.Overall, I'd recommend the main dishes and thick toast!

Heard of a lot of good reviews on this place and it's in our hood so we thought we could give it a try. Had the hamburger patties (no buns) as appy. It was meh... for entree we ordered the Spanish seafood risotto and kimchi bulgogi. Both hubby and I are not big fans of rice but we really enjoyed the risotto. It's got a hint of spice to it and the flavor just kept you coming back for another bite and another bite. For the bulgogi I was expecting some kimchi in the beef b/c of the name but it was only the spicy kimchi taste in it. They did give you a huge scoop of plain white rice. This dish was just ok. Hubby also ordered a drink, something with pineapple juice ? Can't remember the name. But quite nice and refreshing. There's a lot to offer on their menu. I'm sure we will be back to try their other dishes. The restaurant is in a little strip plaza by 48th and Victoria, used to be a Japanese restaurant. It feels very clean and spacious inside. I would recommend :)

Not bad and the name actually said u can’t expect it to be traditional. Can tell the chef put effort to create the menu. Too bad not many people dine in even on a Friday night.

We got R2 and P1, a seafood risotto and a hamburger tomato yogurt spaghetti. Both were really tasty - full of flavour. The presentation of the dishes were nice, and it was a good portion for the price. The pricing is similar to Western restaurants like Cactus Club and White Spot, so it's fair.

So, I had a chance to try this "weirdo" place, and I was weirded out by how good it was! I had the chance to try the takoyaki, short ribs, the golden party spaghetti, Spanish braised seafood, the minion(drink), and the red phantom. The drinks were well balanced and tasty; The quality of the takoyaki was a step above standard, the short ribs were a little tough, but good. As for the mains, they were delectable! My favourite was the Spanish braised seafood and then the spaghetti brought me back to my childhood because the mix of pumpkin and prawns work so well together. Kudos to Weirdo cafe. They did such a wonderful job on the food and the service was good, as well! I will definitely come back!Addition: had some dessert, as well, and it was so good. The pink lady was a strawberry panna cotta, this rivals Atlus cheesecake. The tropical valley was a mango passion fruit dessert that had multiple layers of texture and taste.

Very unique interior design! Food was delicious and super unique as well. The servers were very nice. Also a good place for dessert and alcoholic drinks :)

As the name says for itself, it's definitely weird. We ordered a couple of their items for takeout, special cutlet sandwich with fries and kimchi bulgogi rice. The Kimchi bulgogi rice was a bit bland, definitely not the typical kind you will find at a kimchi restaurant. It was more so a bunch of stir fry vegetables on top of rice. The cutlet sandwich was lacking a bit in flavour as well and was served with 3 layers of bread which we found a bit too much and took away the flavour of the chicken cutlet. Overall, their food is definitely unique and if you want to try something new, it is worth a try.

Looking for another place to eat and stumbled on this place. Fusion of Asian food and others. My son had a breakfast dish with mushroom omelet and duck and salad, fries and chicken karage. He loved it. I had chicken basil spaghetti which was Asian style sauce. Delish. Server was nice. Will return. Many items to try.

We came excited to try this place. The decor itself is very nice but one wall is one solid bench seat which has been completely worn off and needs replacing badly. They do have these beautiful booths to sit in but we were unable to use because their “policy” is a minimum of five people to sit in the booth which was very disappointing and unaccommodating because we were only a family of four and there was not a single other person in the restaurant. Before we even sat down we have decided that we likely wouldn’t come back because of this. We ordered a variety of the appetizers because wanted to a sampler of everything tapa style. The food was good, not great. On paper everything sounds very inspiring but delivered flavours fell short. Worth a try but probably won’t be back.

Had the parmesan mushroom risotto with tonkatsu. Great flavor to the risotto, strong and mushroomy. The Thai spaghetti in soup was also had good flavor but I would rate it more of and average Thai flavor. I would skip this at Weirdo as the other food tastes better.Their milk foam drinks also very good. Sweet milk-cheese foam over tea.Overall definitely recommend

First time trying out this restaurant and I was not disappointed! Tucked away in the middle of a small Plaza (same parking lot as Thai Son on Victoria dr) this fusion style cafe is serving up one of a king risotto and pasta dishes. We ordered the golden desert appetizer, which is fries coated in salted duck egg and pumpkin puree served with a small salad, Spanish style braised seafood risotto, and weirdo burger spaghetti with tomato yogurt sauce. We made both entrees into a combo by adding 5$, one we added a drink (coral sea slush) and a strawberry Panna cotta. So worth it! The spaghetti was so different and delicious, my favourite out of everything we ordered! We will definitely come back and try other dishes. The risotto is more like sauces rice than actual arborio rice. The seafood was not over cooked and well seasoned. They don't cook with MSG, an interesting note. Parking was limited but when I went at 530pm on a Friday night it wasn't packed.

COVID #37 Tough call on this one. Overall impressions - it reminds me of Cafe De L'Orangerie but this place is not Japanese. Inside has a modern design and the decor is nice. Banquet seating is beat up tho. Can't say I really liked the appies I got. Didn't wow me. Mini patties - it was OK. Weido chicken karaage - it was OK. Nothing memorable. The pasta was better. Rose prawn spaghetti. Rose lavender milk tea - a little too sweet for me. Not sure if they added sugar or not. If I were to order this again, I'll ask for no sugar. Blueberry valley dessert was quite good. I wouldn't mind trying it again, but I doubt I'll order any appies. Menu is via QR code - COVID protocol I would assume. Available in Chinese and English. Definitely something lost in translation with the items written in Chinese. 「我有毒」is the prefix (poetic name) for some of the items, and it looks like that's the "translated name" of the restaurant too. I have no clue why they chose that name. SM頭 Pricing is not bad. Limited parking available in lot and available on side street. According to Yelp, "This review is looking pretty epic! Nice!" Rah! Rah! Sis! Boom! Bah!
