Hands down, best izakaya place in Vancouver. Love the cozy atmosphere! It absolutely reminds me of the Izakayas in Roppongi Hills and the food has all the authentic ingredients used in Japan with consistent quality and taste. The only thing is the cost has gone up after COVID but it’s understandable because of the negative setbacks it had on businesses! I would recommend coming here for a date night or party; overall, a great and fun place to go to.

The most authentic Izakaya I have visited in North America, even to the smells and ambience of the entire place. It executes the food and drinks brilliantly without trying too hard. Perfect place to unwind. I ordered a few of the staples Yakitori items and paired it with Coedo beer. And then ordered some takowasa and more beer to finish the meal off! So good!

The skewers were so flavorful and delicious!! I was obsessed with their premium cuts. They were super tender and loaded with umami flavors. The vegetable skewers were nice to balance out with the fatty cuts.

Great place! One of the best izakaya/yakitori place. A must go every time I go back to Vancouver.

Zakkushi used to be my go to restaurant when I was working in Vancouver downtown and living in the area. The food still tasted the same as I remembered. There are definitely a lot more choices compared to before. We ordered a bunch of stuff to share (for two people):2 Zakkushi Set1 Chicken Liver2 Garlic beef2 Negi Tongue2 Cha-shu Yakioni1 Sockeye Salmon Sashimi1 Chicken Karaage1 Hamachi TartarAlso note that by checking in on Yelp we got two free appetizers: Kurage and Takowasabi.Everything was very delicious. B also got a Yuzi Beer which he never had before. The bill with tips and taxes came to $130. The food was good but it seems like they are not as good as before. I do prefer this location more than the main street one. I will need to try the Toronto location to find out if it is better (which I have passed by multiple times and never got a chance to dine in). The sashimi was very fresh. The Cha-shu yakioni was my least favorite. I didn't like the burnt rice taste. Service has definitely been better than what it was before. The place seems to be less busy compared to the past. Overall, B and I really enjoyed the food and will definitely be back.

I've been burned in the past from restaurants specializing in skewers but gotta say I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. All the skewers were really tasty with the flavour imparted by the charcoal and the menu had several other items that can fill you up. $60 pp with a drink.

BEST IZAKAYA! We were seeking shareable apps and fun cocktails with high energy. Tried a place next door first as it had better ratings but menu was less fun "tapas" like, lower energy vibe too. Popped over here and immediately IT. Loud, fun, energy. The shareables were SO DELICIOUS. Incredible fun food. We did three rounds of apps, I had a large Okinawa beer which was so light and refreshing. My mate had two cocktails and loved them both, especially the orange sour. Service was top knotch, speedy and high energy. Smiles and kindness all around. Love the written ordering system. Love the 2 person benches at the bar, very funVegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options

This was a fun place to eat! And didn't turn out to be too expensive for 2 people either considering we had beer (receipt photo included). Just picked a bunch of skewers and small plates to try. The skewers were well cooked and flavorful for the most part. Liked the chicken skin and gyoza a lot! Gizzard was interesting. Will def go again. Place is jam packed though and you have to make a reso!!!! They also do meat prep for you to take home and BBQ yourself.
