I came here with my parents on a whim and it was a wonderful decision! I was so impressed by the efficiency of the staff and how quick their service was. The food was delicious and definitely a different experience than your local taco truck. The place to go for upscale mexican.

Tapas style menu kept us eating the freshest plate after plate. Best Churros and Queso Fundido in Vancouver. A real gem, will be back.

Amazing food (that queso!!), and the nicest, friendliest team.Not sure who the true genius was behind the magic, but we could not have had the perfect evening without either of the two guys there who ran the show!Latin food isn’t just tacos and burritos. If you’re looking for tastes that celebrates and collaborates Latin American food/drinks, then def check them out! And seriously, start w the queso fundido.Looking forward to seeing you folks again soon!

Great food and great service! Easy to find free parking around the area. They bake their own breads and tortillas, the sauces are all house made and extremely unique. Wooden warm interior decoration and very clean atmosphere (you will feel safe during Covid 19). Food taste is great however don't expect very big food portions though.

I'm really picky when it comes to lighting and music in a restaurant and for Zocalo Modern Cantina it was definitely 5 starts for both (not too dim, not too bright, not too loud but loud enough so we could hear the modern Latin music)The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and patient (our table of 6 couldn't decide what to order!) We decided to order 6 different dishes. The ceviche was a big hit, as was the queso fundido was amazing. The lengua and the trompo were devoured. Two people said that the alambre was one of the best dishes they had ever eaten. We also ordered drinks from an extensive menu. I loved that each drink had a description and ingredients. When I finally narrowed my choices down to 2, the staff patiently explain the difference. I was delighted with my Oaxacan Old Fashioned . Dessert? Oh, we just ordered one of each! The carlota was especially good. So, I will for sure go back soon to order the other dishes that we didn't order the first time (plus some of our favourites). I highly recommend going to Zocalo Modern Cantina

Had a great date night here at Zocalo! Amazing service and food. I think it was the owner we were talking to at the bar and he was super friendly. Made our experience that much more enjoyable and memorable. Great tapas for sharing, delicious cocktails, and the churros topped off the night! Way go to Zocalo!

WOW! Amazing food, great drinks, attentive service, and a fun ambiance with upbeat music. Did I mention they have a record player?Came here on a Saturday night with 5 people. We ate the pico de gallo, guacamole, empanadas, flautas, queso fundido with mushrooms, brocheta de camaron, trompo de pastor, and of course, the churros. All the items were fantastic. My favorite were the empanadas, brocheta de cameron and the trompo de pastor. I am from California and I can honestly say this is some of the best Latin American food I've had. Very fun, but casual environment and the service was on point. Even at the end of our meal, they didn't just drop the check, but waited until we were ready to leave even though we were the only ones left. High recommend this gem - I will certainly be back!
