I ordered to-go. 3 different things. I am a vegetarian. All three rolls came in the same box stuffed into it, meats all in with the vegetarian rolls. Combined with all rolls smelled fishy and all rolls tasted fishy. It was expensive and didn’t even ate a quarter of it. The seaweed used was rubbery and tough as well. Expensive seaweed is not. I would not recommend to anyone.Vegetarian options: If it didn’t smell and taste fishy, and stuck all in one box with touching meats I may have enjoyed it better.

I really enjoy this sushi place. Sushi is good, the employees are so nice, and they have these really cute chop sticks for kids to try and use if you eat in.

Seems there have been some recent staff changes at this restaurant. The food is truly NOT good now at Bon Sushi in Royal Oak.We used to love the dynamite roll. Unfortunately we were told the Japanese sushi chef has left. The woman sushi chef who now makes the dynamite rolls puts too much unagi sauce on. No longer as good the dynamite roll. Sad.The sununomo salad we used to love, too. Now, it doesn't even have a vinegar taste. The gyoza was burnt in parts and had no flavor. The prawn tempura is no longer as good as it was.The restaurant never seems busy. Empty tables. We will be trying other Japanese restaurants.

I just love the food at this restaurant, especially fresh sashimi! I ordered assorted sashimi and it's so fresh and melting in my mouth. I also tried their new menu, Sashimi salad. Perfect for people who seek no carb diet. Rolls taste so yummy!Their tea tastes authentic Japanese green tea.Servers are nice and friendlyWill definitely come back

PROS:-Location is convenient.-Parking is plentiful-Some of the Food is OK, some not.CONS:-Extremely expensive. Look at the picture. That small order was $67.00 and they are expecting a tip on a takeout order!-Ambiance is non existent. old unused furniture stacked up everywhereOVERAL IMPRESSIONThere are better and more reasonable priced places for take out.I would never eat in as it feels like sitting in an old furniture store.

Each item I ordered brought me back to the food I ate when I lived in Japan. I am so glad I ate in at the restaurant because everything served was just right!

The prices at this sushi restaurant were reasonable considering the quality of the food and the overall dining experience. While it may not be the cheapest option in town, I believe that the value for money is definitely worth it.

Owner very nice and friendly but food not great. There were canned beans in a poke bowl, almost no seafood in seafood udon soup and the seafood that was there was badly overcooked. And the music being played, orchestral arrangements of 80s pop songs, must have been someone's bad joke.

Food was good but service suffered. Upon arrival, all the tables were dirty. Tables didn't have any garnish and the server didn't give or ask me if I needed any.Vegetarian options: I ordered the vegetable udon. Had 3 pieces of shitaki in it.

This used to be our favorite sushi place. We haven’t been for awhile since the prices went up. Just recently went back - Great miso soup. Some of the other recipes have changed and are no longer great value. Service with Hyunjoo is always fantastic and these days the atmosphere is super quiet. Prefer the bon sushi in oak bay -overall better value and quality.

Waitress was kinda careless, didn’t come around much, when asked about things on the menu they weren’t very accommodating even if you offer to pay extra to have things added/removed as per allergies or even just the small overpriced portions,

On line menu prices and photos of menu items require updating on internet.More choices for Bento boxes, increase choices for 2 hot items, soup or salad, rice….Service very good.
