A great bar & bistro in it's own right that happens to sit on someof the most historical and appealing landscape - the Ogden Point Breakwater. With a decade-plus history of quality, value-added service to both visitors and residents year round, the menu is excellently prepared, creative flavoured, and both aromatic and visually appealing.A great dining and socializing experience, soon to be repeated!

The pasta dish was awefull, we did tel our waitress, who said she would let the kitchen know. Then when the bill came no happy hour discount. When we told the waitress she said no that is with the discount. No !? Will not return for dinner!

If you're looking for a place to stop and grab a bite and drink with spectacular views - this is the place. Our server was kind but underwhelming on the patio today. We never received our coffee after asking twice for it - but was still charged for it on our bill. We were also served the wrong sandwiches and then charged for an extra sandwich. Our fries came early which was fine but then they were taken before we were finished. I will be coming back though as the food, cocktails, and views were fantastic! I'll just double check my receipt before paying, oops.

Last time I was there it was called the Odgen point cafe.I have to say I liked it better before they renovated it.It was more cozy. Now they split it inside into two parts , but it doesn't look nor feel good. They have more outside seating which is nice. The service was fast and friendly.Prices for food went way up, too expensive for a place like this.So I had the chicken fingers and fries, because it seemed like a fair price at $13.-Fries tasted good, but it was only a very small portion. Fries are sooo cheap, why skimp on it??The chicken fingers had a good flavour and so the sipping sauce but to much breadding and not enough chicken.I think in the future I will come back only for a coffee and a pastry as their prices for that seemed ok.

No wait for a table. Salty soup and tacos so spicy my mouth burned for half an hour. Delish coffee tho. Uncomfortable chairs and tiny table - not a nice place for a couple. Music so loud it made talking difficult. Creative table layout. Nice view.

I've always loved Breakwater Bistro. The food is fantastic, the view is great and the staff go above and beyond. Last weekend we reserved for breakfast/brunch for a big group of visiting friends and family. The group kept expanding and the staff were so accommodating and made us feel very welcomed. The service was absolutely amazing. It is a great place to showcase the friendly atmosphere, brunch culture and scenic views of Victoria. Thanks! (Excellent for other meals too!)
