Authentic Indian taste! Was kinda bored from the Indian food you usually get in restaurants here so rich and heavy. Was missing home cooked food. Am not a vegan, love non veg but the food here makes you feel so much at home. Veganism in Indian Food I personally haven't heard about and honestly can't think of a single dish without paneer or cream. The owners are so sweet, they genuinely focus on Quality over Quantity. The options are less and not what you get in other restaurants but the taste of food is so amazing, just like how my mom makes. Definitely a must try even if you aren't vegan!

Tucked away at the industrial intersection of Bay and Government is the finest vegan Indian restaurant on the entire island. I had been tracking this establishment for a while on Happy Cow and I finally stumbled in. My first impression was simply how passionate and friendly the owners were. Within a short time of my arriving, I discovered that the owners are the ones cooking and serving as well. This added layer of depth, shows through the food and the entire dining experience. I sat on the patio and engaged in pleasant conversation with both Belle and Jason. My participation in their business was rewarded with a complimentary delectable chutney. I was astounded with the delicious flavours of the food and the volume. For a reasonable price I was provided with two mains, a healthy portion of rice and Naan bread. As I sat and we conversed, we discovered quite a bit about each other. I left feeling rejuvenated both physically and mentally after sharing a deep connection with other compassionate beings. Whether you are vegan or not you need to get to DEHLI!

A rare find. Really good Indian food. Vegan too! Unassuming. Friendly. Delicious.

My husband and I recently visited Victoria from the lower mainland and we were blown away by how delicious everything was and not oily like we often find with Indian food locally. We were so impressed with everything being vegan, including the delightful naan. The butter “chicken” made with tofu was out of this world. There’s even a water bowl outside for dogs. The owners were so kind, down to earth, and very helpful in their recommendations. We will definitely be back on our next trip

I'm not even vegan and I was so satisfied. The butter Tofu was delicious. I'm lactose intolerant and the thing is non-vegan Indian food has so much milk. I loved being able to actually eat anything I wanted without getting a tummy ache. THE CHAI IS AMAZING!!! Honestly, eat here. You're missing out if you don't. Stop here on your way downtown.

The owner is very polite and the prices are decent. The portion was good. However, the masalas seemed less and gave kinda bland taste to the chana curry.

Stopped in for lunch. They have 4-5 all-vegan items. Order a single item ($13.95 plus tax) and it comes with rice and naan, or you can pick 2 dishes for $17.95 plus tax. I got the vegetable medley--it was amply spiced, though could've been saucier. Plentiful portion, served with a side of mango chutney. The woman serving was extremely friendly. Tasty food and solid value. Recommended.

Delicious plant based Indian food. The couple running Delhi are passionate about what they serve. Such a hidden gem in Victoria!

I just ordered two combo meals there on Tuesday May 11/21 for myself and two friends who love Indian food

This plant-based vegan Indian restaurant deserves more popularity. It's a small spot hidden away on the corner of Government and Bay, with a few outdoor tables during Covid regulations. The menu may be limited but the flavour is not. The cooking is fantastic. Choose anything on the menu and you'll be happy with it. The naan is fresh and hot and the chai latte with oat milk is absolutely perfect. Don't let the small venue fool you. The food is worthy of a more upscale setting. Try the takeout and ask about the great deals on batch cooking. Victoria should be proud of this great spot for vegans.

Great option for vegan staples like dal and chickpeas. Owners are kind and generous!
