My husband and I stopped in here on our way back to our Airbnb for the night. Staff was super nice and we didn't have to wait long. It was still hot by the time we got back. I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place because it was a meal highlight of the trip. The flavors are unbelievable and I wish I would have gotten my own burger! Highly recommend the bacon cheeseburger with Montreal poutine. What I wouldn't give for some right now!
This place was absolutely fantastic! I visited Victoria with my best friend who has severe Celiac Disease. We both wanted poutine and this place was recommended for having gluten free options. I was blown away by the sheer variety of different dishes and we were greeted by the lovliest young lady who was friendly, accomodating and a joy to be serviced by. Our first interaction with food in the city and we were blown away with how amazing it was! It was a pretty nice day as well, so it was wonderful to have a seat in the outdoor dining area and we got to enjoy the weather without roasting in the sunlight and the rustic decor was fun, charming and incredibly clean and well maintained. Bestie got the Spicy, and I got the Montreal Meat; while I really liked hers (we sampled!), I was in love with mine! The fries were the right amount of crispy, the meat and cheese curds were abundant without being overwhelming and the gluten free gravy was flavorful and good consistency. I was certain I wouldn't be able to eat all of that small order, but I made it! It was pure ambrosia, I tell ya. Overall, from our first interaction here, to every other establishment we visited, I was so impressed with how easy it was for my friend to order and get exactly what she asked for every time. There were no blank stares when she mentioned the words "Celiac Disease" and she was immediatel assured of gluten protocols, etc. But L'Authentique...you were my first and I love you.

The fries were fine, the cheese was fine, the gravy was barely there and too thin. There were only about 4 types of poutine on the menu and they lacked imagination. I had the hamburger poutine that included a few fried onions and a chopped up pre frozen burger. My companion had the Montreal smoked meat poutine which included very little meat! and none of it was inexpensive! We ate at the outdoor tables after dark. A rat or 2 ran across the patio and pot smoked wafted freely about. I was mostly just dissatisfied with the underwhelming poutine.

The Poutine was great. We had the one with the burger on it, and it was a great afternoon snack to share. It could be a whole meal if you're eating one by yourself.It's counter service. The person at the window was very friendly. The seating are had plenty of seats when we went, but the tables weren't very clean.

Extremely pleasant staff. Poutine was great. Hot, fresh, well cooked fries. So yummy.The spicy poutine was excellent and unique.Their outdoor benches allowed dogs, which was nice because we had ours with us.Prices were very reasonable for the amount of poutine you get.Location is great down by the Victoria harbour.
Really good poutine. Only outdoor seating which was perfect for people watching just on the waterfront. The chips are both soft and crispy. There’s a few other things on the menu. Other than poutine which is nice. I ordered the Poutine Montreal and it was pretty tasty. The only thing that I felt was lacking was the gravy. It was kind of bland. Other than that, such a good spot.

We had the spicy poutine, which had an outstanding flavour. They add banana peppers to make it spicy, the crunch of the French fries with the creaminess of the cheese curds makes it an absolute delight.

Took the family here while in town on an Alaskan cruise. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. We enjoyed eating outside and enjoying the nice weather. Burgers were prepared well and very flavorful! Our boys enjoyed trying poutine for their first time and have sought it out since returning.
Pretty good. Home cut fries. Not quite like Quebec but better than others in BC.Outdoor seating is great for a visit to Victoria on a nice day.
