The portions are like half of what they used to be.Paying the same and getting less is worse than raising your prices.

I have been working at this place for a long time, but it never happens that the owner is taking money from the tips or does not matter where she is but she is always available to respond or deal with any problem. I don't know why anyone creates a problem or misleading other people with putting negative reviews for such a good atmospheric restaurant where everyone is so friendly..

This company steels tips from their employees, pays them absolute minimum & all ingredients are from a cisco partner.? They have no idea where their meat or other ingredients are made. The owners mostly live in Cali & look forward to the profit.I worked at their taco 'stand' for 5 months, I not only ran front of house, I did the cash out every day. Only to receive "200$" / mo in tips. When I know it should have been more. (Go on vacation to Mexico City once and boom, you have 'taco stand'? You guys couldn't even cook a prawn.) Good riddance to bad capitalist rubbish.

The sandwich meat (porchetta) was cold and bland, the cheese wasn't nicely melted, the veggie soup was slimy and cold. (I hope I don’t get sick).I asked for help to the server or cashier, she was extremely rude.Never coming back. Treating people with respect is essential in the food industry. Customer service should be part of their training in this place. I should have taken a picture of the food.Just to answer back to your message, the cashier never offered me a refund in fact, She said she couldn't offer me a refund or even offer to change my soup. Unfortunately the person you hired is lying, well, it's frustrating when you ask for help and they don't want to do anything for you, yes I know how difficult the food industry is and how hard you work, but I also know that for people like the cashier You can also lose customers for not being kind enough to help, just because you own a restaurant doesn't mean you hold all the truth, I’m being honest with my comment. It's all learning and I hope the cashier stops lying to you, as a restaurant owner she will cause more problems for your business, not to me.

A perfect lunch spot or for takeaway, this Italian meat lovers dream will hit it out of the park for you. Located inside the Victoria Public markets, it has some sitdown seating to eat there or you can takeaway. Had the meatballs which were dense and meaty (not a lot of fillers) and flavorful with a topping of Arrabiata sauce and a little pesto drizzle too. Delicious! There's also a focaccia pizza and pasta sister restaurant attached that looked tasty too!

I noticed a tall, skinny gentleman with a red hot chilli pepper’s tattoo pick his nose and touch kitchen equipment. Not to mention, at a second glance it looked like he had dice in his pocket. The burgers are embarrassingly bad and pre cooked. The breakfast sandwich immediately locked me down on the toilet for a solid 4 hours. Food is not kept at a safe temperature and will make you sick.GO TO ROAST AT YOUR OWN RISK.YOUR BOWELS WILL HATE YOU.P.S. why the hell is one of employees wearing swim trunks???

Great little spot, but I found the roast beef sandwich impossible to chew. Medium roast beef should not be served in slabs. Tasty, but I had to cut the meat at home.

2/3rds of the greens in my Kale Salad were old, slimey and translucent. The dressing is super bland and there's nothing but greens, a little cheese on top, and lemon wedges. Had to add things when I got home. Waste of money.

This was my first stop on my first visit to the Public Market. I had high hopes after reading the blurb on their website. I went for porchetta and for meatballs, planning a take-out order for meal prep at home. It was on a Monday, around noon, and the market was nearly empty. At Roast I saw the porchetta on offer, and decided to pass on that. I spoke to the server, and ended up settling for "a cup of balls", a container with some arrabiata and four meatballs. The next day I made a meatball sub with part of my order, and this is what I found: irregularly shaped meatballs, very crumbly, in a small amout of sauce which had a rather thick layer of solidified fat on top...out of the fridge, of course...and I used two meatballs for my toasted sandwich, which was okay. I can cook, so I did a good job on the prep. As I said, it was an okay sandwich. Three stars. My hopes were aimed higher, but I am glad I made the effort to check Roast out. I plan to keep on looking for good meatballs in Victoria!
