One of the best restaurants in Victoria, great food, service and wine. Staff are all so lovely and never had food we didn’t like.

That atmosphere was great. Simple, warm, and elegant. Food was excellent and affordable which seems to be more and more rare these days. The amount of fries was substantial. Seasoning was perfect. The burger was delicious! Patty was cooked medium rare. Ingredients weren’t crazy but they delivered. Meat to bun ratio was right on the money. I’ll be back soon!Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs whatsoever leading up to the wine bar. The inside is not cramped so a wheelchair wouldn’t have a problem moving about.

Do you LOOOOVE Portlandia ?! If you do, definitely visit here. Strange vibes, purposely(?) Uncomfortable seating, and eclectic* patrons. The food and wine are OK, but I would expect a more coherent atmosphere.

I recently spent a weekend in Victoria and ended up at Tourist every day we were there. Tourist has a thoughtful collection of natural wines that is on par with natural wine bars in any big city across the world. As I worked my way through the delightful selection available by the glass I kept thinking to myself how lucky Victoria is to have this perfect little spot. If trying a fun new wine isn't for you I highly recommend the sparkling herbal tea on tap. It was the best non alc beverage I have ever had.Going to a wine bar for dinner or even to eat in my experience can lead to a lot of disappointment but this is not the case with Tourist. The food menu here is clearly not an afterthought. The menu is well balanced between snacks for a quick drink or larger dishes for a full meal. Since we kept coming back we were able to try most of the menu and every dish was delicious. Everything was seasoned perfectly and worked well with the bar's wine offerings. Some stand outs for me were the mortadella, handmade pasta, citrus salad and the burger. Shout out to the crispy perfect frites! The service at Tourist is very casual which works well for the small room. You order at the counter and drinks and food are delivered to your table. There is no wine list since things are changing a lot (good news for locals who want to keep coming back to try new things)but all the glasses are priced the same to keep things easy and the bottles are all displayed with their prices listed. All of the staff that helped us over the weekend were very friendly, knowledgable and professional.Last but not least is five stars to the VIBE! The room is beautiful, the music is good and it is busy which is rare in this part of the country on a winter's eve. Congrats to this crew for putting together a world class spot. Can't wait to return.

SO good! The large natural wine selection is so fun, yummy and unique. We had natural wines we’ve never heard of and from regions we never thought of for wine (e.g., Japan). Food was delicious and thoughtful. The vibe and service (thank you, Christian!) was outstanding. 15/10 recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tried to go there for dinner on Wednesday night, and the place was closed even though the website states it's open on Wednesday. Also, there is no phone number to call for reservations.

Great natural wine selection (they had six diverse ones open to choose from ranging from $12 and $18 per glass), great snacks, great vibe, great people. Will make this a mandatory stop every time I’m back visiting Victoria!

An absolute gem. I was very impressed by the wine selection and knowledgeable servers. The food was also amazing - happy to find selections for both vegetarians and meat lovers. House made pasta was excellent! We returned on Sunday for brunch and it was also delicious.

They have a line and there's a good reason. Tourist manages to keep one of the best selections of small-batch natural wine at jaw droppingly low prices. If you understand and appreciate wine or you've ever escaped the insular dine out culture that is Vancouver island, you'll likely appreciate the experience being offered here.

Bougie hipster bar so attached to their minimalist aesthetic that they ignore basic food allergy protocols. It’s cold. They don’t have table service and the ala carte “hamburger” (it’s a cheeseburger) is just mediocre. Don’t bother with this place.

I see potential with a rotating menu but food falls flat. Burger was burnt. No wine pairings despite it being a wine bar. Very pricey and doesn’t meet the cost. No service at all, just go to a
