Unpretentious, good food, reasonable prices for downtown Victoria. Regular pub style menu. We've enjoyed their fish and chips, burgers, and nice crispy fries. It's in a sheltered spot from downtown, down past the Johnson St Bridge, with a view of the Gorge and Point Hope shipyard. A bunch of cats hang out around their patio. Nice little spot.

Came here the other day to sit on the patio for lunch. We did not get our food an hour, and we only ordered salads. It should not take 1 hour to make two salads. Also, two salads + 1 drink + 1 appetizer (that took 30 mins to come out) was $90, which feels very expensive for what we got, not to mention how long it took. Our waiter was just okay, she was nice but not attentive and seemed to be oblivious to the fact it took an hour to get our salads. Right when we were served our food the table next to us got their order taken and their food was ready in 15 mins, not sure why ours took so long? The salad was good but I probably wouldn’t come back.

We actually went to the Craft Beer Market next door and were told to wait 35 minutes and they would call us…… Never happened, good thing we decided to wait at The Tug Eatery. Seated promptly, catered to attentively, tried some IPA I hadn’t had before and ordered a tuna poke bowl for myself and the chicken poke bowl for my boss. The food arrived timely, it was fresh, generously portioned and so very delicious. They were obviously understaffed but did really well to keep up as the patio was steadily busy. At the time of our visit, the patio was undergoing some renovation and while it wasn’t on going during our visit, it was definitely a work in progress. Overall a delicious, comfortable visit with seating as close to the water without needing a life jacket as you can get.

Great spot near the water! We came to Tug on St. Patty’s for some celebratory drinks and dinner. The service workers were lovely - very friendly and attentive even during a busy day! Drinks were also great here, with a nice variety of beers and cocktails alike!Food we tried was mixed but lackluster overall. Fried Halloumi was totally subpar, and the pasta made my friend feel a bit sick… but burgers seemed to be fine. Not the best impression given standard restaurant pricing…Wouldn’t say this is amongst the best food in town, but the vibes and outdoor option make for a great hang spot for groups looking for a spot along the water!

Our server Keith is the best, I’m sure all other servers here are good but if you’re lucky enough to get Keith you will have a great experience. Thank you Tug eatery, the peanut butter shaft is worth trying.

Keith is the best! This place should be on everyone’s “what to do in Victoria” list. I’ll be back!

Needed a late night meal and it was absolutely delicious! Staff was friendly and provided great service. I loved all of the plants throughout the restaurant and the ambience was great. We had the pork belly lettuce wraps, crispy chicken bites, a side caesar salad, a raspberry mojito, and a dreamy strawberry. The chicken bites were our favorite!

I cannot properly express how impressed I was with our lunch here! We were on a walk and spontaneously stopped it, but will be back often! The Vegan Crunch burger is one of the best burgers I have eaten in my life and I’m not even vegetarian let alone vegan.
