Permanently closed. By their website. You want real good beef noodle soup. Go to Dinesty, Wong's on Granville, or DingHo, Myst, or the one on Willingdon.Chef Hung's soup stock have always tasted like premixed. Their stock is too clean to be made from scratch.Brentwood Mall apparently has one opening there in the future.

Go here to eat every time I'm in North Van. Always tasty food and welcoming service?

The owner of this restaurant is not honest. Due to covid, they took away the chilli oil jar on the table. So I had to ask the waitress for it when I placed my order. I was very surprised to see there was a $1.2 extra charged on the bill. I asked the owner why I was charged for adding chilli oil, which usually should be free. The owner couldn’t give me any reason. She argued with me for 5 minutes and insisted it was my mistake. I was so surprised how the owner would sneakily add extra charge on the bill and is not willing to acknowledge a mistake when confronted by a customer. $1.2 is not a big deal, but honesty for any business is. We will never go back to eat in this restaurant.

My family and I ate here in July 2020 and I just realized that I forgot to post. We happened upon this lovely dinning experience by chance as we had walked the sea wall along the water and then were looking for a place to eat that was in walking distance. What we found here was a flavourful meal that both the kids and adults enjoyed! Friendly service. Great Covid protocol. Fair prices and fair portions.

Delicious noodles and rice dishes - always a venue we choose to recharge after a nice walk along the Ambleside-Dundarave promenade.

Delicious Taiwanese beef noodle soup arrived in West Vancouver in 2012. That's 8 years ago that I've been a customer here and the quality of the food is still delicious and service still amazing. The pandemic has taken a toll on many small businesses and I'm glad that this location has managed to stay afloat and retain their exceptional quality.I ate at the restaurant in the evening and covid protocols are being followed well. Also very few people eating in so I felt safe. Lots of take out orders!

Overall food was very tasty. I got the beef noodle soup. Homemade noodles has a great texture. Spicy broth had a nice kick to it but not overwhelming. Only complaint is that the food is not the best value with everything being a couple dollars more than it should.

This is an awesome hole in the wall but authentic Taiwanese style beef noodle soup. It's kinda empty so want to help give them a review, I'm not sure why cuz:- "champion" beef shank (牛肉麵) - really awesome soup flavor and noodles. We only did takeout due to COVID so won't judge freshness. - beef brisket curry - again awesome sauce, it's a bit spicy- pork chop over rice - very crispy just like Taiwanese style- da Zhang mien - - Taiwanese fried chicken - crispy and juicy at same time. It's a great value. Be sure to stop by.

I hadn’t been here for a few years. We came here because I was in the neighborhood. I brought a picky eater here for lunch and she was impressed with the braised beef tendon and shank noodle soup. The beef was tender and soup was flavourful. I had their lunch special of shrimp curry with a bowl of rice, mini appy (small spring roll) and specialty tea. Overall we were pleased with our dishes. There’s a choice of rice noodle, vermicelli, flat noodle, or thin noodle. There’s a choice of mild spicy or spicy soup. Good selection of mix and match options for vegetarians and picky eaters. Service was friendly and prompt. They are a chain restaurant with other locations throughout the city. Their West Vancouver location is ;ocated in the heart of Ambleside. A difference place to enjoy a bowl of noodles after a walk along Ambleside. They’re closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with limited hours from 11 am to 7 pm during Covid.

I'm a long time customer of Chef Hung since 5/6 years ago when they first opened their doors. Their transition into online order is all round bad. This happened TWICE already using the same delivery service with the same restaurant (Chef Hung West Vancouver). Here is what happened: Ordered food online and was cancelled 1.5 hours after I placed it, right at the deadline of the order. Was not told that the restaurant wanted to cancel. We know it is the restaurant, not the delivery company/service because this only happened to this SPECIFIC restaurant. Message: If you are not able to fulfil or DO NOT want to fulfil an order, please let the customer know OR cancel it right at the beginning of the order. Don't cancel it close to the deadline. Customers like me are OKAY if you cancel it near the beginning of the order. We are understanding and compassionate. But, when you cancel the orders right near the deadline and don't tell us about the cancellations and you do it TWICE, you lost a very long-time customer. It does not make sense what you did because it is an interesting time right now. Shouldn't you improve the transition into online delivery in a smoother fashion? Let your customers know sooner than you will be cancelling the order. Don't wait until the timed deadline of the order. People are hungry. If you are not making enough gross margin on the order, it is OKAY. Let customers know and cancel early. We are understanding. For people reading this review: the food is good. But, double make sure that your order will not be cancelled by phoning them. They might or might not take your call.

Good food. But mildly spicy soup cost +$1 extra (wasn't clear on the menu, just said fire spicy) and tea is also +$1.Portion okay for light hunger.Food was good though.
