It's pricey and some items are just not quite worth it. That being said some of the options are out of this world. They did modify some of the menu during the pandemic and some items that aren't available any longer at

I've been getting these pies for years. They are 100% worth the price and I always make sure to pick up one (or three) when I'm in the area.

So good! Savary’s savoury pies will savage my diet. The chicken pot pie was so good that we will be back for the other flavors like

The chicken basil is something you have never experienced. Truly one of a kind. And the carrot cake is the best.

Overpriced and low quality. The chicken basil sandwich now cost $23 and it’s not even made on the Italian bread like it originally was which is the reason why it’s a more expensive sandwich when I asked why it’s made on a cheap multigrain. No one could give me an answer. The staff is pretty rude here and they said the sandwich cost even more than $23 if I requested it to be on Italian bread, that is just beyond ridiculous. This place has gone downhill and is way overpriced and expensive for what it actually is and what you get. I know many more bakeries that I will be going to for a quarter of the price and the quality is high and the service staff are way better.

Review is for premade chicken pot pie and berry pie ordered for two of our gatherings. Simply excellent! Missing the buttery flavor/smell in the crust makes me wonder what they use so 1 star missing.

An old dessert shop in West Vancouver. The coffee and various desserts are delicious and worth visiting.

Absolutely incredible food. We are regulars, as we are obsessed with their chicken pot pies and their apple pies and bring them home for dinners / deserts. We usually make it an outing, as their sandwiches are incredible and stay for lunch. BUT. Their service is disgustingly rude, which is a common theme here it seems. Not once, not twice, many many times. It’s unfortunate that such amazing food, comes with rude, short tempered and outright rude service. After today’s visit, we may never go back.

Preordered a tourtiere and went to pick it up. Really helped that there was someone dedicated to preorders. Smooth and quick in a busy store. Oh and the tourtiere was delicious. Not to spicy an super flakey crust.

Rating based on absurd prices, not quality of food. Good, not always great, solid food but the prices are insane. $52 for a chicken pot pie?! Save $ and pay "only" $19 for a small one. How about $39.50 for a fruit pie, one that is good but not better than others in the area for 1/3 to 1/2 the price? I think not.Pastries and breads are good and pricey though not as much as the above. Judging by the crowds here west Vancouverites don't care, but I for one refuse to be gouged like this in the future.

I used to go here regularly for carrot cake and tortiere. I haven't been back since covid and I was excited to try it again.Everything has gone downhill with Savory Island though. What used to be a cozy cafe is now dominated by a huge freezer with fluorescent lights that consumes an entire wall.Portions have been cut in half and prices have doubled.Food quality is mediocre at best.Staff are abrupt and uncaring. My memories of Savory Island are amazing. That's all I have left though because this former great cafe has become a repulsive shadow of its former self.
