Great sandwich and sweet shop. If you are looking for a lunch spot or just a quick sweet ( pie ) a fantastic spot to try. Grilled Chicken sandwich is excellent.

The ambience of the café is like a welcoming hug. The decor is a mix of rustic wood and green plants, creating a feeling of tranquility. The spacious tables and comfortable chairs invite people to stay and enjoy a good conversation or a moment of reading. In short, this café is a true healthy oasis in the midst of the daily hustle and bustle. At 6.25 for a Latte, it better be great. Nope. Basically an Americano with foam on top. Not impressed.

The atmosphere is fantastic. We were lucky to be here during the day and specially on a sunny day. First time trying raspberry scones and I like it was very sweet (sugary) to my tastes. Coffees were okey since they are prepared in semi-automatic machine.

The place is solid with great soup and sandwiches and the daily soups are good. I recommend the egg salad sandwich on there multigrain bread. You can buy a loaf to take away with you.

Cozy Dundarave bakery and coffee shop.To be honest it was much lower than what we expected.(specially the service)The service was slow and the vibe was not very welcoming.Baked goods and the French toast was great though.

This is breakfast at Grandma's.Nothing more. Nothing less.Cozy Dundarave, West Vancouver covered in freshly fallen golden Maple leaves, as the trees sway the wind and you, toward the rustic door of The Bakehouse.Everything from in-house made eggs and toast, sandwiches, coffee and muffins paralleled with the staff's warm, welcoming and happy-to-see you smiles. Frankly, I haven't had that experience since...well...the last time I was at my Grandma's....which was...well...let's leave it there."The Works" breakfast was two eggs, turkey sausage, potatoes and rosemary-sourdough toast. Everything on my plate tasted and smelled like it was made for a special guest visiting....like you would at home for a visitor. The flavour and simplicity was not only tasty, but so refreshingly surprising and in contrast to an increasingly commercialized, franchised and everything-bulk world we live in.The "Apple Spice" muffin was oozing pumpkin spice, apples and cinnamon straight out of their own oven freshly baked, and what could top that on a beautiful Autumn morning? The service? How can you not go back to an energy resembling Grandma plating you freshly baked cookies with a smile only she can serve up.

The staff are incredibly kind spirited, the food is amazing and I actually questioned if so wanted to share how great this place. Many others know how great this place is!

We dropped by The Bakehouse for lunch and brought home some goodies for afternoon tea. Dog's BreakfastBeef Orzo SoupShrimp MeltGrilled Cheese on Rainbow BreadPumpkin TartsPumpkin Cream Cheese SquaresMy husband said the Dog's Breakfast was just OK.. Nothing to write home about. I ordered the Shrimp Melt sandwich which I knew was good as my mom had ordered it the last time we came here. He loved my Shrimp Melt sandwich. It is served on a curry baguette; the bread is actually yellow in colour and really does have a curry flavor in it. Definitely one of the more unique breads I have ever tasted. The Pumpkin Tarts and Pumpkin Cream Cheese Squares were absolutely scrumptious! I could eat them all year round. Who decided that Pumpkin treats should be only a seasonal item?! Slightly lower rating this time than our previous visit since the Dog's Breakfast wasn't outstanding. Overall though, still an excellent place to visit!Service: GoodParking: Free parking on the street Location: 2453 Marine Dr., West Vancouver

Wanted to try a place in Dunderave. My friend loved her eggs bennie. I had big bear breakfast with turkey sausage. Tomatoes were good. Other one had scrambled eggs. Good option size. Good dark roast coffee. Blonde woman with glasses was sweet and gave best customer service. She was great with all in the line. Would go back.

Nestled amongst a strip of shops and restaurants in Dundarave Village, The Bakehouse in Dundarave serves up some fantastic eats and fresh baked goods as well.Featured here:Shrimp MeltGrilled Cheese on Rainbow BreadAdult Grilled CheeseShrimp Melt: They sure do have some interesting breads at this shop. On the menu, the Shrimp Melt sandwich is said to be served on Curry bread, and indeed the bread did have a bright yellow colour to it, reminiscent of a yellow curry sauce. Grandma really enjoyed this sandwichGrilled Cheese on Rainbow Bread: This was exactly what it sounds like it is. It was a grilled cheese sandwich in which the bread was rainbow coloured! Quite a sight to behold, and yes...it still tasted good!Adult Grilled Cheese: This sandwich didn't come on any kind of colourful bread like the other two sandwiches. Some kind of Herb sourdough bread was used for this. While Rainbow Bread didn't take away from the sandwich's tastiness, I much preferred this Adult version of Grilled Cheese. The Herb sourdough was more flavorful than the Rainbow Bread and this sandwich also had more ingredients other than cheese in it.Overall a very enjoyable meal, and we hope it won't be long before we're back at the Bakehouse again!Service: GoodParking: Free parking on the streetLocation: 2453 Marine Dr., West Vancouver, BC
