I had three menu items: smoked salmon, lobster + steak, and shrimp + scallop. I ordered a bottle of water, but to my surprise, I ended up paying $5 or $10 per person. It's a restaurant rule. The steak was too small and cooked poorly, so overall it was expensive and I don't want to go back. The atmosphere is too noisy and the sound echoes.

This is" sub par". Toronto Hys is head & shoulders above this. Tough beef, terrible Caesar salad. I was so disappointed. I mean garbage beef. This was 20 year old milk cow meat. pure filth. How can they get away with this. The local breakfast place served better steak. I suggest avoiding this over priced garbage. I am not being rude or mean......This is simply what I experienced & I am still in shock.

Incredibly rude and useless hostess service. Can’t judge the food because I decided to leave. I reccomend everyone to go directly to Quattro. Better food and the porter house steak beat HY 6-0

Hy’s Vancouver is always dependable. Our waiter was a very pleasant, well-spoken, and well-trained fellow named Christophe. He prepared us a round of Caesar salads table side and his wine service was impeccable. My NY strip was perfect and my son enjoyed his dry-aged steak very much (gotta try it at least once). This type of experience is the norm at Hy’s Vancouver, not the exception.

My experience overall was great! Staff was really friendly and polite. We tried some steak, wine and desserts. Everything was good but the steak comes in a not so big portion and it’s quite pricey.

We dine here every year on an annual ski trip. While each year is great, this year was exceptional. During the pandemic, many places got a bit lax in the experience but Hy's seized the opportunity and delivered an amazing experience. Our server Samantha (we still miss Victoria, but Samantha is great) was equal parts engaging and orchestrator. The dinner moved at pace without feeling at all rushed - courses were expertly timed and coordinated by Samantha. The managers assisted with wine delivery - and the whole team worked together to ensure no glass was left empty and every member of our party was tended to. Incredible team effort and an exceptional experience. Looking forward to our next visit!

Restaurant très bruyant tables très rapprochées, impossible de tenir une conversation les préparations à table comme les flambages se font beaucoup trop près des tables avoisinantes Repas ok mais sans plus Dans l ensemble on s attendait à mieux
We usually go to Hys for dinner but this time we went for the 4 pm happy hour. 90 minutes of classics ( Caesar salad, oysters) and great drinks on offer. Sat at the bar and chatted with locals. Had a great evening.
Food was very good but not for the prices they charge. At this price point, the beef should be much higher quality. Kind of disappointing for a steakhouse. Cocktails and oysters were excellent.

Whenever I travel to Whistler there are three restaurants I always visit...Hy's tops that exclusive list. After many previous visits I finally decided to try their Beef Wellington and was not disappointed...outstanding. My wife tried the Filet a La Hy's for the first time and absolutely loved it. We will be back...

We had a wonderful experience at Hy's! Marvin was our server and he made the experience even better. The food was delicious and we enjoyed two table side experiences- Caesar salad and bananas foster. We will definitely return to Hy's!

Food was amazing! Our server made the caesar salad right at our table; lamb and steak were cooked perfectly and so tasty Leslie our server was attentive but didn't rush us - great evening!
