I was so full but everyone kept telling me to try this place so I did. Absolutely worth stretching my diet for this. The service - attentive, sincere, and elevated. The food - I ordered the seafood pasta but I didn’t like the choice of pasta and they were happy to switch it to hand made linguine. Everything on that plate was fresh and cooked brilliantly. Please do make reservations before as it gets filled up very quickly.

Terrible disposition, we booked months before and family members also and they wouldn’t let us merge our reservations after both parties called days before hand. We had a last minute family member have dinner with us and they wouldn’t let us add one person to our table or the other families table. The only good thing was they didn’t charge us for canceling when we arrived. We were lucky to find another restaurant to have dinner same day. Better experience, glad we ended somewhere else.

Hands down my favourite restaurant in Whistler. The service is OUTSTANDING. We just celebrated our Anniversary here and it was an incredible night. The staff went above and beyond to recognize our special evening and the food matched the service. Incredible cocktail and wine list and the only problem is you will want to eat everything on the menu. The Branzino was one of the best I have ever had and the crostini and gnocci were equally delicious. Thank you to Jeff and your staff for a memorable and beautiful evening. It's the reason we keep coming back to Il Caminetto.

Food was fine overall (good lobster linguine, great gnocchi and amazing branzino with octopus) but overpriced. Our server was FANTASTIC, very attentive and provided great suggestions. However, the manager was disrespectful to someone in our party and seemed quite aloof, even for this type of setting, which was odd all things considered. We have been dining in this restaurant for the past three decades and first time back since the remodel. It's definitely changed and we won't be coming back as staff have better manners at other high-end restaurants in Whistler.

We ordered one appetizer, and three entrees. The appetizer was served quickly followed by some free foccaccia. But we waited for another 40mins to get our entrees and they were served all together. The food was great but staff were too busy to be friendly or attentive. My favourite was the veal stew which was super flavorful and tender, followed by the fregola sarda with mixed seafood!

This establishment has left us completely satiated. The food was exquisite and as a chef myself, I was impressed with the quality, presentation and flavours that the food portrayed. The peak of our experience though was our server, Colleen! She was the most sincere, authentic, and genuine individual we have met in a decade. Her energy, knowledge, and smile was even more delightful and luxurious than Saffron or the New York Striploin I shared with my friend. Although the food was delightful, we would come back simply for the company of such a refined human like Colleen. Thank you for making our experience unique and without equal.

Service was very poor not going to lie about that the lady forgot us multiple times but the food was so good I could lick the plate! The only thing that I found mediocre was the dessert but with appies and entrees like that I wasn’t even mad!!

From the moment we walked in to Il Caminetto we were delighted. We felt transported into a luxurious comfortable dining room tucked away into a mountainous ski village. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The cocktail menu was comprehensive and delicious. We were extremely satisfied with all of the food that we ordered. My personal favorites were the prosciutto to start, tagliatelle bolognese, pumpkin ravioli, and for dessert the tiramisu. On the wine list we loved the barolo we ordered. After visiting another Italian restaurant in Whistler, Quattro, on a previous visit and being disappointed, we were so happy to see Il Caminetto live up to its title as the best Italian restaurant in Whistler. A strong recommendation to come during your visit.

Celebrated our honeymoon with dinner here and it did not disappoint. From a complementary champagne toast to dessert, the experience and staff were first class and the food was phenomenal. Will absolutely return!
