Enjoyed a quick meal with a friend before attending a class nearby. The entrance is inside the Westin, and is easy to access from the village or there’s parking underground. The restaurant is small, but has a bar area and two larger sectioned off seating areas at the back for groups. We had a couple rolls (spicy tuna and the tropical roll), a couple pieces of nigiri (inari and tamago), agadashi tofu and gomae. Everything was super fresh and the service was fantastic. The owner came to our table to see how everything was and when we left, sent us off with some treats and some new chopsticks from Japan - so sweet! I don’t dine out a ton in town but when I do, I’m reminded that visiting locally owned businesses like Ka-Ze really make for a special experience ?ps - I’d love to know what those treats were, I ate them so fast and didn’t take a photo of the label!

We loved 2 years in Roppongi, Tokyo. So our Sushi expectations are usually high. The sushi at Ka-Ze was fresh and the variety enough to satisfy any sushi fan. I suggest you try the chutoro and kampachi sashimi. The tuna tataki we ordered as appetizer didn’t disappoint as well as their 1/2 and 1/2 sashimi. If you must have maki as one of my son does the tropical roll I was told was super :) I will definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Whistler.

This is a cozy Japanese restaurant with a friendly master. In this day and age, the food is reasonably priced, but you can eat much more decent Japanese food here than at Asian-run Japanese restaurants in Vancouver. It gets crowded on weekends, so early reservations are recommended.Kid-friendliness: There are also partitioned seats, so you can feel safe even with children.

Don’t know why you have 4stars review on google.Would give it a zero if I could. Hostess stand was rude. Chef was rude. Come here if you want attitude.Trust me. Try scrolling down you will see many one star reviews. Also, 22% tip is included in your bill. I waited two hours for my food and now I’m paying $200 for two people dinner.Ridiculous!!!

An awesome Japanese spot serving up the real deal with super-friendly vibes! The hot pot and rolls are just amazing. The owner is a really nice and cute guy with a killer smile and a great sense of humor. Had an unexpectedly awesome birthday celebration here. Big thanks to the entire staff! Highly recommended!

Super slow service. I don’t get how it takes 45 mins to get a few rolls out of the kitchen when the place is 3/4 empty. I get that you have pay in Whistler but the price and service should be correlative.

this is our new favorite dinner spot in the village! we walked in around 6 and they were able to seat us at the sushi bar. we ordered green tea, and they made sure our cups were never empty the entire time we dined with them. we ordered the rainbow roll, spicy tuna roll, caterpillar roll, and tropical roll. spicy tuna and rainbow were our favorites but they were all incredible. delicious, fresh, and such a great price. service was impeccable, and this was by far the coziest spot we’ve been to here, and will absolutely be back.

Terrible service from the chef. We repeated the order of the sashimi and when it arrives, we questioned if that’s the same one we ordered before. The chef came out and throw the plate to our table and rudely said this is the same one you have ordered. The chef looks like he wanted to kill us and very very rude to us despite the fact that we only want to clarify.Terrible service and will not come for such bad service!!!!!!!!
