I have recommended Chez Christoph heartily as a classy patisserie in White Rock. Now I am quite disillusioned by what I experienced yesterday.I arrived at 4:00 and they close at 5:00. From the time I sat down to the time I left I had the distinct impression that closing was their main concern and myself and 2 other customers were not. The atmosphere was cleaning and sweeping all around me. Not exactly the relaxing latte and croissant I was yearning for. Staff had a dismissive attitude chatting amongst themselves as though I was invisible.Although the desserts are beautiful and delicious I am going to enjoy my late afternoon latte and sweets at another Bistro in Peninsula village. No. 24 & Bistro also have an abundance of scrumptious desserts & pastries at a better price and a quiet atmosphere where a customer still feels valued.

Having turned into a self-proclaimed Cafe snob this place is great. They go to great lengths to have quality baked goods and an excellent latte. Staff was friendly and easy to speak to. Thank you!Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs. Accessible front door and bathroom.

I go to this place almost every morning for coffee and pastries. It is an excellent place located in a good location with variety of tasty selection of pastries for reasonable price. Place is comfortable to enjoy. The service by all the staff is excellent with friendly attitude to customers!I know almost all of them by their names and often have bit of conversation with them.I have no hesitation in recommending this place if you desire to have good French pastries with a drink or to take out even to your parties.Giri RaoVegetarian options: Mushroom pastry, almond croissant, butter croissant etc.Parking: There is street and shopping center parking space across.

We LOVE Chez Christophe! It feels like an authentic European café. They are easily the best French patisserie and Swiss Chocolatier in Surrey/White Rock. Recently they’ve really upped their coffee game by hiring an Australian barista and the espresso-based drinks are a lot better (read: Latte Art!)Best café on the peninsula!

The ham and cheese croissant is the best around! The ladies behind the counter always greet me and have even remembered my drink order, what great service. Would highly recommend checking it out.

Staff is extremely rude. Although the guy working was helpful, the young girl with brown hair in a ponytail and barista ignored the customer requests and basically goofed around behind the counter. Very unprofessional. Staff talked about my mom, glared at her and laughed about her simple request, maybe if staff is going to roll their eyes there shouldn’t be a massive mirror alongside the bar. The food was very good, coffee was disappointing due to the cashiers not listening. Never offered to remake my mom’s coffee and ended up charging her for a new one. Upon leaving the cafe the barista that charged my mom make a snarky remark. Although the food was excellent, i will not be returning due to horrible staff. Just rude.
