Vegetarian Options, Phenomenal Taste, Mixed Feelings on Customer ServiceI recently visited The Wafflers - Belgian Waffle Bar with my family, and we were delighted to find a variety of vegetarian options, especially in the White Rock area. The taste of the waffles was phenomenal, and overall, everything we tried was excellent.However, I do have a concern about the demeanor of the staff. While the food was fantastic, I couldn't help but notice that the staff seemed unwelcoming. I'm not sure why, but it felt like they were not as friendly or welcoming towards everyone, particularly towards me. Customer service should be consistent for all patrons, regardless of skin tone or any other factor. It's disappointing to feel this way, and I hope it's something the management addresses.Despite this issue, the food quality remains top-notch, and I would recommend The Wafflers for its delicious waffles and vegetarian options.

The waffles had less fruit than the picture on the menu, and the female staff wasn’t nice.The other customers at the outdoor table were able to leave and the male staff said goodbye and he cleared the table,but the female staff made us clear the table ourselves and watched us, so we did it.We were very offended because we paid a tip!(Male staff was nice tho)

I tried their special Belgian waffle. The waffle is very tiny and soggy. Definitely far from an authentic Belgian waffle. Home made waffle is better.

I went to this cute cafe for the first time yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food was. I admit I am not a waffle person, I'm tram pancakes all the way, but this place has changed my mind.I had the waffles with ? and an Americano. My friend tea with strawberry and cream waffle. They warm up your milk for your tea or coffee, which is such a great touch to their already kind service. Food was delicious but honestly it's the kind friendly staff that made my experience here memorable ?I definitely will be back!!!

We’re foodies so we’ve tried lots of waffle and dessert places before:The waffles: not too bad we had the leige ones, they could be crispier. We ordered the duchess which had a good amount of strawberries.The wait: It took 30 minutes for one waffle order….We went at 12:30 so maybe that’s why it was more busy? But they should have more staff or a more efficient system. Established waffle places like nero does it well and has better waffles.The price: it was $14.70 but the cashier was pushing for tips and I didn’t check but it was added so total for waffles were 16:17.From other reviews it seems like the issues were mainly the wait time, unapologetic staff and push on tips. We did experience all of this but from their side it was older workers and they maybe could be understaffed? We might be willing to give it another try if they improve on our suggestions! But for now we opt for other dessert places in white rock!

Wow, just wow! These waffles are next-level amazing, even better than the ones I had in Montreal, believe it or not! I wish I could give them 6 stars out of 5, that’s how good they are! The staff are super cool and friendly, and the view? Gorgeous! Totally rocked my taste buds! The young blonde lady made a great recommendation. Folks! Gotta try thisnplace!

Heavily overpriced for what was received. Waffles and omellettes were good but to have breakfast for 4 people hitting almost $100.0 is ridiculous. Service was lacking and atmosohere was stale. The location is the best thing about this place.

The food and coffee were really bad. The liege waffle was premade and frozen. They try and mask this by covering them in cheap sugary toppings, leading to a sickly sweet, barely edible and tough waffle. Even though it was only $6, i would expect the waffles to be made to order.The real reason I am writing a review is because the owner does not distribute tips in The legal manner required by BC. As they have stated in responses to other reviews “ Tips is not for one employee, it is for all work team. don't ask tip any more, no meaning! When employees enter the employment , I never promise to tip, just said to reward good employees if you try to be a good employee…”According to provincial code Gratuities 30.3 subsection 1:“ Although gratuities (tips) are not wages, the Act provides that employers cannot take them or withhold them from the employee who earned them. This includes tips that are paid by customers to the person who served them, or mandatory gratuities or service charges large groups are required to pay.”Take your money elsewhere, and I hope that the employees affected by the owners reckless behavior find gainful employment that treats them with dignity and respect.The owner has also been quite threatening in their responses to other reviews. Please support businesses that support our community! Make a waffle at home, it’ll be better than the toaster waffles served up here
