20 Bojangles Restaurants Coming Soon to Phoenix

Bojangles is bringing its famous "Southern Charm" to the Valley in a big way. The popular chicken chain announced plans to open 20 new locations in the Phoenix area.

The expansion deal was signed with franchise group LVP Restaurant Group and real estate developer Kingsbarn Realty Capital. It's part of Bojangles' larger westward growth strategy that launched last year with a new boneless chicken platform, restaurant design, and staffing model.

"With the consumer demand for chicken at an all-time high, there has never been a better time to be in the segment," said Jim Cannon, Bojangles' chief development officer. "Our new boneless platform has resonated strongly in each new market we enter." Cannon expressed confidence that the "Southern flavor of Bojangles food and hospitality" will be a hit with Phoenix diners.

"We are firm believers in the direction Bojangles is heading," said Jeanette Davis, VP at LVP Restaurant Group, which operates Arby's, Carl's Jr., and Subway locations. "From our experience, we know excellence is required to stand out...Bojangles will be welcomed with open arms in the West Valley."

The first Bojangles opened in 1977 and has since expanded to nearly 800 locations across 17 states. Bojangles opened 40 new restaurants in 2023, with some notable locations in Heath (OH), Euless (TX) and Flowood (MS). The chain is best known for its hand-breaded chicken, made-from-scratch biscuits, and Cajun fixins.

Specific sites for the forthcoming Phoenix restaurants have not yet been announced.
