Never been here before. Cute little place a short distance off the freeway. Great menu. Home cooked food. Burgers were amazing. The best part though was the staff. Top notch service. We will be back.

Talk about taking a step back! Everything from the decor down to the menu items! Homemade meatloaf, corn fritters...even Rocky Mountain Oysters (for the more refined!) bring up nostalgic tastes and memories of home-cooked meals. If'n you're the more high fallutin' types, there are even some quite fancy meals for ya'll too! Overall, whether you're the turkey and gravy or honey lemon salmon salad or the fish sticks and jalapeno mac & cheese, it's all delicious! And like my grandma used to say..."If you leave the table hungry, it ain't nobody's fault but your own!"

Excellent service and great food. My daughter loved the corn bread with the chili bowl and my little one enjoyed the chicken strips. Their onion rings were probably the biggest I've ever seen.

We share the Poo Poo sampler platter. Tasty. The owners were extremely nice, even took a little time to talk (very busy). This was a check out for future bike rides.

Service was fabulous and food was great! We wanted a flavorful steak after a day in the dirt and both the rib eye and sirloin delivered. Food is fresh and tasty with solid side choices. Would definitely come back again.

Appetizers were amazing. The main courses not so good. Chicken seemed boiled, tri tip smelled and tasted weird, and the pork chops had a sunny taste. The atmosphere and history were pretty cool. If you are looking for a place to have a beer and some bar food, this is your place. If you are looking to sit down and have dinner. Look elsewhere. The service was very ggod also. Our waitress was excellent.

Not friendly to the locals and the owners don't care about the locals they cater to those who pass through or their biker gang friends that come in. Food is overrated and over priced and my wife had raw chicken strips there that smelt like a dying rat in a shed. This place used to be an absolutely incredible place to go to, great locals decent food excellent bar service with strong drinks and karaoke and now it's one of the worst places in Acton to go to. The only reason they are surviving is from the COVID government loans they took advantage of. Hopefully one day it will become the place it used to be but not under the current ownership.

The food is awesome and I freakin love both the owners and the staff. Larry is awesome and I would hang out with him every day of I could.

Food was good service and atmosphere was one of the worst experience since me and my wife had hidden accelerated pricing with no compromise, and no warning beforehand

It had been several years since I had been to the 49'r. It is being run by a husband & wife team who are doing their best to make it work. It's definitely a locals place. The place was fairly empty and it took a while to get service. Which was ok. They have a full bar. My wife ordered a mixed drink and I went for beer on tap. Both were good. The menu hasn't changed in years and I ordered what I was familiar with. The butter burger is a favorite of mine and I decided to try another one. The burger was good and had a bunch of flavor. And although my bun was toasted, it was cold. I ordered it medium and it was closer to rare. Which was fine for me as I hate over cooked hamburgers. I remembered their onions rings from the past were fantastic, so I replaced my fries with onion rings. The rings were fantastic and huge. They did not disappoint. My wife ordered the spicy bbq chicken sandwich. The chicken on the sandwich was a bit tough, and the bun was cold. but otherwise the sandwich was good. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable, although some of the tables are small if you have more than 2 people. Also the temperature inside the restaurant was a bit cool. Overall a nice meal and I will probably go back.

This is a must visit establishment! We are staying at the thousand trails RV park about 2 miles down the road and we have visited this establishment twice in two weeks so far. First off the customer service and environment is super warm and friendly. You feel like friends when you walk in. Secondly, the food is outstanding! we even took some friends back and highly recommend their wings, fried apples, burgers, and fried pickles. The establishment seems to be very health-conscious and serves real food not frozen prepackaged meals.Priced well for the quality that you receive!!This would be reason enough to come back to Acton!Vegetarian options: They seem to be very aware of vegetarians and vegans!Parking: Plenty of space for even larger diesel trucksKid-friendliness: Large tables and booths for family

Decor is a bit on the rustic side, but I feel like that's on brand for the name. The food was fantastic, everything was delicious, and reasonably priced for what you get. The ranch was a bit different, thick and a lot of dill, but definitely tasty. The waitress was plesant and attentive, it's nice to have a restaurant actually listen when I ask for my burger medium rare. Will definietly be a go to spot for us anytime we're in the area.
