My partner and I love this place. Staff is always welcoming and we love their potstickers! They make them in house and they are great. Awesome family business that's been around forever. I've never been disappointed and this is one of our go to places. Like to be able to sit above the street and look down and people watch.

Standard prices.Descent food.Friendly service. No complaints.Tried the General Chicken with Rice.Surprisingly the chicken wasn’t heavily breaded.I could actually taste the meat. That was a nice change compared to the far too often experiences I have had from other Chinese restaurants. This dish only came with rice.So you may be as surprised as I was learning that broccoli doesn’t come with this classic American-Chinese entree.Portion size was standard, which is probably plenty for most adults. As of April 2021 the dining room is still closed due to COVID. Only take out is available. If your not familiar with this area, be prepared to look for street parking. This business does not have a parking lot. And good luck because this is a high traffic area with several restaurants.Lastly, the restaurant shares a building with another business.China House is upstairs.Hope you enjoy your food.Stay healthy and drink your water.

I order regularly from China House, usually during lunch. I think China House has the BEST Chinese lunch special on the Island. For a price of $11, you get your choice of entree with your choice of fried or steamed rice (no extra charge for fried), individual serving of soup and fried wonton. I LOVE IT! Because the portions are plentiful, I find myself having dinner time left overs, which is sooooo nice, especially with my busy work schedule. I usually order the Mongolian Beef, which is always a hit! Spicy, good amount of veggies, and the meat is so tender. In the past 3 weeks, we've also had the General Tso's Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork and the Orange Chicken. Every single one of these dishes *chef's kiss* Now, I'm hungry and going to order dinner from there right now. YOU SHOULD TOO!

The wonton and hot & sour soups are worth trying (just add some white vinegar and hot chili oil to the latter). I’m mostly reviewing to share full menu pics which seem to be lacking on Google. A public service! ?

The food here is fresh and amazing. Their fried rice is perfect, not greasy at all. Definitely coming back to this place. A little pricey but worth it.

No frills "city" Chinese place (a little South Park reference). It's solid Americanized Chinese's food at the right price. When you could eat inside the staff was friendly and service was good. Plus it has great views over park street if you like people watching.

Picked up takeaway on Sunday. Our usual spot is in Oakland across from Planet Fitness (China Garden, I think) and I will stick with them. We ordered the exact same stuff we usually get. Price was pretty much the same. Hot and sour soup was good and HOT spicy. Pork egg foo young was meh-sauce on the side was flavorless. Potstickers were too doughy and we didn't get my favorite chili oil/soy sauce packet to go with them. Shrimp fried rice was ok-good amount of shrimp but needed a lot of soy sauce to make it flavorful. My biggest issue was with the beef and broccoli. The dish was 90% broccoli. I would estimate that we got 10 oz of beef in the whole order. Not okay for the price. Will not be back China House.

I eat in this spot a lot since I work right next to it. I have to say the service is always great and they keep the place well organized at all times. Pricing is convenient and they serve large portions.

THEYRE FINALLY OPEN AGAIN! This is my absolute most favorite chinese restaurant ever. My parents came here for their first date, started a family, and I've came once a month ever since. Their food tastes like home and I haven't been able to taste any other chinese food like it. It was the longest 7 months ever without them but I'm so happy they're open again for take out only and are taking the right precautions for social distancing. Their wonton soup is to die for!! I love China House

Excellent. Casual and yet amazing food. Just what you want in a neighborhood restaurant. Great menu options--we shared an entree style dish and several dim sum options.

I read mixed reviews and was thus a bit skeptical eating at this place, but work a block away at the Hearing Zone so had to try it out.
