This was our third time back to Park Tavern after two mediocre experiences many years ago. Tried this during Alameda restaurant week 2024 and had a $40 & $60 prix fixe specials that included three courses which all four of us ordered. Definitely a great value. Salad, entrees and dessert appeared as normal portion sizes. Food was very good. My salmon was juicy and could use a little salt. But better under salted than too salty like most restaurants. We will come back again and this to our dining rotations. Service was good. Place was surprisingly packed.

We come here frequently because of the exceptional service, delicious menu and cocktails, and family-like/community tavern experience. Give it a try. Note: parking can be a challenge, especially with the city's new road diet/bicycle lane construction on Clement.

Unfortunately, the food was really underwhelming. The crab cakes tasted homemade and were nice, but the other dishes we ordered (calamari, salad, gnocchi) left a lot to be desired.

The menu has changed a little. my favorite pork chop no longer comes with polenta but with brussel sprouts and something like Greek potato. Not a good change. It was a quiet night and the service was very good.

The food is excellent. The service is excellent. That should rate five stars, but the atmosphere is so odd that it detracts from the experience. The walls are an ugly dark olive green, the tables are chunky and unattractive, but most egregious are the can lights pointing down at the tables which make everyone look pale, old and scary. A restaurant with food that good could really make a name for itself if they made an effort to make the interior inviting.

Great dining experience. We had a 5:45 reservation and the place was busy when we arrived (there was a large party in the back room). Ordered the meatballs and a beet salad to start. Entrees took a while but they brought us extra bread. We had the rib eye (perfect medium rare) and pork chop and then the chocolate mousse. Food was delicious! Service was attentive and our waiter Lawrence apologized for the delay on our entrees. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely love this place and can't wait to go back. Everything was delicious. The restaurant side was quiet and the bar side was loud so it was nice to have a quiet dinner and then go to the bar side and have some fun having after dinner drinks

Food was great. However we choose this restaurant based on their regular menu. The website did not advertise they would only be serving a pre-fixe menu on Christmas Eve and we were not notified of this change.

The prefect pre holiday dinner with friends. First inside is a charming bar, where we were greeted by the host. We were seated at a nice, thick wood table, very earthy and homey. (I would love in my dining room) Our server, Lawrence was top notch professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He knew when to be attentive and even asked if we wanted to enjoy our cocktails and appetizer before starting our main order and waited for each course to be served. Starting with fresh, hot bread, and Creamy Mushroom soup and the Mediterranean Dip Trio ( tzatziki, roasted garlic humus, muffuletta olive tapenade with pita). Delicious! For entrees I had the Beef Short Ribs (sautéed spinach, onions, and mashed potatoes with demi-glaze ) It was tender, perfectly cooked but could have had a bit more Demi-glaze. Mashed potatoes needed seasoning but were very creamy. My bf had the 8oz Filet Mignon, served with au gratin potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts . Perfectly cooked beef. Au gratin potatoes were delicious. Obviously I enjoyed his dinner a little more. For dessert we shared the Cafe Crème brûlée. So creamy and good. A true dining experience

The meals here seem to be getting better over time. The place was busy, festive, food & beverage were great (again). During the pandemic they set a great outdoor space up with music, and their personal (take-out) delivery is better than all the 3rd party services out there. Great place.

I really like this place, but picked the wrong night to go. I figured a Wednesday night should be easy. There was a large group there, though, celebrating a birthday, and they were extremely loud. Had to shout to hear my dinner partner. The food was wonderful, as usual and the service as great as always.

It was our first time here and I reserved a table for my husband's birthday. They did not disappoint. The service was great, and the food and cocktail were really good. I didn't finish my cocktail because I didn't want to get too tipsy and I'm a lightweight, but it was very good. The food was really good and they give you good portions. And what a wonderful surprise to get a complimentary dessert to help celebrate my husband's birthday. Thank you Park Street Tavern for making it a special night for my husband.

It was my husband's birthday and this is his favorite place. Always a great food and wonderful service. We always ask for Lawrence , as he is so accommodating. Also the entire staff are wonderful. It was a great evening.

I personally like everything about this restaurant--the layout, the bar, the food and drinks. To be specific, the Halloumi cheese appetizer, with it's lemon, wine, butter sauce, lemon and capers is so delicious we wouldn't let the staff take it away until the plate was thoroughly clean. The last word cocktail I ordered was also perfectly boozy, but the best part for me was the lamb--4 thin chops medium done--pink but not too pink--with simple salt and pepper flavoring surrounded with potatoes, tomatoes, arugula and feta cheese. My friends devoured the house made fettuccini noodles (w/different suaces). No one took home leftovers. I look forward to going back soon.

We sat just outside the bar area there were some very noisy patrons in the bar therefore I dinged the ambiance. The service was very good Lawrence and his side kick gave us ample attention but not smothering. We felt that we were not being pushed to get done with our meal. I had the Pork-chop and felt it was a little tough. We will definitely give it another try.
