the service is fantastic and the prices are quite decent but unfortunately decent is all we could say about the food. the sushi is forgettable, the only real variety is in the rolls and those are also fairly monotone and "safe".plus the atmosphere is diner-like and extremely basic.Sushi House at the other end of Park Street has similar food but a more fun atmosphere at least and we don't go there either. there's just too much better Japanese fare in the East Bay.Wheelchair accessibility: very accessible, no steps and good space

Ordered pick up from this place. They packaged the sake don (salmon over rice) in the same container with the salad and dressing, which spread to the rice and salmon. Not sure why they did not package it separately? I don't know about other people, but I do not like salad dressing on raw salmon. Also the ginger and wasabi was covered by the salad/dressing they packed together, so I unknowingly ate both when I went to take a bite of salad - not good service. I'm assuming they tried to save money by not using an "extra" container, but they have lost me as a customer.
Chose to celebrate Mother's Day with my boyfriend's auntie Jolene. Love it here. Cozy, friendly staff and affordable price.

Quiet night with all the trick or treaters about and, I guess, no one gives out sushi on Halloween. Their loss, my win-- I had the sushi bar to myself and the full attention of a very talented and friendly sushi chef. I chose some things (nigiri, rolls) and all was fresh, super tasty, well prepared and nice portions. The miso soup was tasty but lava hot! I also asked for and enjoyed some recommendations by the chef and will definitely be back for more!

We just had such a delicious dinner at Sakura! The spider roll was especially delicious (if you're in the mood for something fried) but we loved the kamakazi roll as well. If you're looking for good, solid, reasonably priced, reliable sushi, this is the perfect spot.
