Never even heard of this place before, friend of mine recommended we try it, wow this place is amazing. The food is so fresh, the portions are large, everything is tasty. I ordered chicken katsu and it was way more than I could eat in one sitting. Chicken katsu was cooked perfectly, the miso soup was amazing, and had a nice salad. My dinner guest had salmon which was cooked to perfection. Overall the whole experience was just off the hook incredible, I highly highly recommend this restaurant. The service was great food was great, will definitely go back when I'm in Alameda, in fact it's worth driving to Alameda just for this food and this restaurant.

We used to enjoy food here, but last time, we see multiple black spots on salad and fried food. We let them our waiter know. It seems it wasn’t out of ordinary there. I think they are not washing their plates and grill properly.We paid for our food and we will not visiting this place anymore!It is visible to us that quality deteriorated, since always there was used to be waiting list to be sitted. This time, there was no waiting list and half of tables were empty on weekend!

Was treated to dinner by church friends for my birthday. Haven't been here in a while. I almost forgot how hefty the servings are in this place. The ambiance and service were impeccable. Our food arrived in order fairly quickly. A testament to the efficiency of the staff in this place. The sushi and sashimi was fresh and the vibe and view from our table was pleasant. Although a bit pricey,¹¹¹ I was full to say the least, and the company was all quite happy that evening. We will definitely be returning to this place.

Terrible sashimi and roll, not fresh, and not even good cuttings. The only thing I enjoyed was the edamame ? and maybe the view.

Really nice place with good-quality Japanese cuisine. The rolls are really tasty and really big, you can get enough with just one set! The Seafood Udon that’s in broth is brought in a pot in which it was cooked, very authentic. Greatly recommend as a lunch or dinner place, the service is really good and the meals were brought pretty quickly.

I dined in with my family maybe a little before they closed. The servers we very polite and let us know when we could put in orders last and the food was great! Additionally, the sushi we ordered were very filling and had large portions. ??

Service is so and so... not commensurate for what they charge. They don't get the order right and it takes a very long time to get your order or anything for that matter.
