Came on Friday 01/19/24 11:15 not 1 person insideTotal $25.05 including tip for 1 personMala mee, basically some Odon noodles with 2 scoops of hot chili oil, no meat inside. I don't cook at home but can easily go next door to 168 and spend $7 and make it for the rest of the week.Fried meat ball $6.50 dry AF, flavorless. You can get a pack of 12 at 168 Market for $7Pork Belly $6.50 basically a thick cut of Farmer Johns bacon grilled / cut into 4 pieces. Was not good even for a guy with no pallet but better than the meat balls.Service was non existent, placed the order at the counter she brought the food and that was it. I could've served myself. This place is the same owner as Kai Ramen and they offered way better food than this. Not sure how long this will be in business but I wish you the best of luck.I'd rather eat at Kim Kee Noodle House ? in Rosemead

Bright, airy, welcoming, casual eatery that offers a simple menu of noodles and a few sides. We're Indonesian and love noodles, so we were pretty excited to try this new establishment, which has only been open for two months! You order at the register and grab a table. My mom and I both got the chili mee -- I got mine exactly as advertised (spicy!) and my mom opted to go with medium spicy. We also shared a bowl of their beef meatball soup. Food came out quickly and for $5.50-7.50 a bowl, the portion was generous. Presentation was great, and upon our first bite, we couldn't help but chime at the same time, "Mmmm. Enak sekali!" (Very good in Indonesian). The noodles were perfectly cooked and moist. It had a nice 'bite' to it, so no soggy noods here. And the flavor was on point. Even the beef ball soup was tasty -- simple, and it reminded me of bakso, which is beef ball noodle soup, a very traditional Indonesian staple, which is delicious, esp on a cold, rainy day. The meatball was super tender. We loved everything we ate and will be back!My only critiques are the chili mee was definitely SPICY. If you're a spicy food lover, you may enjoy this as-is. I enjoy spicy foods, but I did find perhaps it was a tad too spicy for me -- my nose was def running. It would be nice to see the possibility of adding protein to the noodle bowls, i.e. tofu or sliced chicken or even have the beef meatball as an option. Or maybe offering a hard boiled egg or soft egg would be delicious. Some veggies in the noods would be great too. Makes for a more complete meal. The other drawback was the music being played was a little too loud -- music should be background noise, not the star of the show at a dining establishment. This way customers can sit comfortably and hear one another talk.Service was friendly and efficient! Go support local!Parking: Free parking in shopping complex

I want to like the food. So far not impressed. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing? I had the mala mee noodles and the spicy wontons. The food tasted like I was eating a spoonful of baking soda. I added the spicy sauce from the wontons to the mala mee noodles to make them taste better. My brother had the mee goreng and said it was bland too. You need to order meat with the noodles otherwise there’s really not much to it. I want to give this another try because I think there is potential. Again, maybe I ordered wrong or my taste buds are really off today. I don’t know. Maybe I was expecting Indonesian type noodles since they are called “Mee Goreng”.Next time I’ll try the porkbelly and the pan fried dumplings. I hope I’m wrong with this review today. I’ll change it if I’m wrong.

Loved finding this little spot when we were staying in the neighborhood! The food was delicious, the staff and service was SO FRIENDLY, and everything got to our table quickly and tasted fresh. Best pan-fried dumplings I've ever had, too. Will literally dream about those!
