Saw a banner up for this new HK style cafe. You can never go wrong with a hearty meal with some ice lemon tea. They have a few tables set up outside for outdoor dining, but take out is encouraged. We placed our orders and waited roughly 10min for our food, which is super fast. Suggest to call in and place your order so you don't have to wait in the heat.Baked bolognese - my all time favorite and usually go to order at HK cafes if I don't know what to get. This has a lot of sauce and cheese melted perfectly. French style beef cubes with tomato rice - soft and tender beef cubes. Rice was also very good.Pros:- free daily soup- great customer service - good portions

Portions are small and the food is bland. I ordered the chicken wings and they only gave me 6 winds. JJs give you 12 wings!!! Sunday cafe gives 10 wings. We ordered the chow fun beef with soy sauce. It was so bland. We had to add hot sauce to enhance the flavor.Parking was in the back of the restaurant. Happy Cafeing!!!

Largest portion for Hong Kong Style Cafe. It is very tasty. I wish this restaurant can survive through the pandemic because it just launched right before it.

Just very average or maybe even below.

I went here RIGHT before sit down was stopped and I have to say the food and portions are pretty good! Huge portion of baked pork rice and the pork was still nice and crispy under the tomato sauce. I hope this place sticks around because I'd definitely come back.

Bad timing for a good restaurant to open; I really hope they can stick around. Yeah, it's another Hong Kong style cafe, but a good one. Their Soboro rice (a minced pork dish that Delicious Food Corner also sells) is superb, probably the best I've had. Milk tea is excellent as well, strong and smooth. Western and Asian dishes are all made pretty well. Only issue is with the service: I went with friends (who did not speak Chinese or Cantonese) and they kept getting our drink temperatures wrong. And the fliet mignon cube, ordered twice, once cooked perfectly, another time way raw (it was quite busy that day they botched it, something that isn't likely if you order now). Hopefully just growing pains.

I'm always on the lookout for HK style restaurants and had this on my list after passing by and noticing that it took the place of Scala Stonegrill. Took my family out for a try one night. I ordered the sirloin set meal which comes with russian borscht soup, spaghetti, a dinner roll, and a choice of coffee or tea. Soup was rich with veggies and meat. The sirloin steak was small but juicy. The accompanying mashed potatoes and steamed veggies looked sad and lacked flavor. My parents got their food way earlier than my brother and I so we pretty much just watched them eat until about halfway into their meal. Wasn't a huge deal since they're considerably new but still something to improve on. All in all, just an okay HK cafe. Price point is slightly higher than its competitors. Wouldn't mind giving it another try once they've had some time to work out the kinks.

Although idk if Cinya gonna survive this pandemic times, I thought the three times I came it was pretty good. I came 4 weeks ago for to go and just past wed(to buy to go and bought a lot) and I came for breakfast 3 weeks ago and it was all pretty good. I thought the breakfast was better than expected. I prefer Alice's kitchen more but it was surprisingly good. If I had to fault something, their milk tea was no good. In terms of breakfast, I thought their choice is not that many that I end up just getting grill pork chop with toast + egg. I prefer their porridge and chow mein combo. The porridge had a nice tasty but it was a little thick imo but the taste and ingredients are there. I would come back... I got some kind of pork chop(belgian style I think)...I personally didn't think it was worth it. They actually have a lot of pretty cheap options but for some reason all their grilled steak/meat options are highly expensive for whatever reason. Anyway I got their baked pork chop twice and I thought it was legit. Not only does it come with a lot, it's good and cheap. Just this past wed, I decided to buy more since I prob won't come out for awhile and I was right...so I got the fish fillet with corn sauce, salted egg and chicken fried rice, shanghai dry noodles, and beef curry. The shanghai dry noodles were not that great. You can taste the powder when you eat the noodles and it was slightly under salted. I personally thought that was the only no good thing. I thought the fish fillet came with quite a bit and they give you option to have it on the side so that the fish doesn't get soggy. Their salted fish and chicken fried rice was good. I surprsingly really liked the taste of the beef curry. I thought the ingredients were a little lacking though but I thought the taste of the sauce is pretty great. There is also a 10% off for to go option during this pandemic crisis...so there's that. The other thing is that their service is not so great honestly...and I had waited a long time twice for their to go. It's not that bad to wait the 2nd time since I ordered a lot...but the first time it was kinda odd. The story was that I ordered the belgian pork chop and baked pork chop and when I got there he told me that the wait will be a bit long cause of the baked pork chop. So he went to "check" on it and so he did. Really he could have just took my money first...so i was just chilling at the front door for 10 mins(maybe 15 ? ) and when he finally brought it to me, I didn't even remember that I didn't pay yet. True story. It would have been a lot more efficient if you had charge me then since the baked pork chop wasn't ready anyway even if you were the guy(I think he's part owner?) that had to do the to go order arrangements. Regardless, I would come back and I hope it survived this pandemic crisis.

Staff are very nice. But food is pricey and not as good as expected. The lotus rice tastes just like "steamed" fried rice. I would recommend getting a fried rice instead of this.

So mediocre. Food is pricer than its counterparts and quality is average. The staff is very flustered and forgetful, but it's also very strange because besides from two people actually dressed like wait staff, the rest of the people taking orders look like the boss or owner's family just walking around in their sweats. It was a tad weird to having someone in their sweatshirt and slacks who looked like another diner or someone who rolled out of bed asking me what I wanted to drink. They forgot our drink and our bill after asking for it. Overall, I understand the learning pains because they are new. This spot is a hard spot to survive in though because of its location. If you don't have either really good food or really cheap deals, people are not going to come back after they try you out the first time. I definitely think I'm on that boat. They just didn't stand out. Price was higher than other people serving the same thing and food wasn't any better. Just very average or maybe even below.

Great Hong Kong style restaurant. Steak is juicy, service is spot on and in a very fair price range. If you expect real Hong Kong style food this is the right place. I have been to several Hong Kong style cafe before but non of other can beat this wonderful restaurant. Really, my word is just a peak of an iceberg. Come try out. You wont be disappointed.

Came here for dinner during their soft opening hoping to get some "wow" food since they're new and prior restaurants in this location have all closed. Unfortunately, they really need to step up their game if they want to do well here in the long term. I think the waiter is the son of the owner and you could tell he doesn't want to be there. I tried to order their baked avocado with seafood and they said they didn't have avocado. Their corn soup with ham was mediocre. The garlic chicken wings had no garlic on it. The only thing good was their crispy noodle dish with seafood. Probably won't be back.

Another New Hong Kong Style Cafe open in Alhambra next to Cafe D.er. Great selections of food, and all lunch specials come with rolls, coffee or tea (cold drink add $1.50), and the choice of cream soup or borscht soup. If you are like me, like to try hot and new places. Come check it out!
