Being a big fan of shabu shabu, we decided to give this restaurant a try. When compared to a competing shabu shabu restaurant in Alhambra, this restaurant is not nearly as good. The meats were very good, and were served quickly. That's definitely the strongest attribute of the restaurant. I got the miso broth which was very bland, watery, and had a slight fishy flavor. My friends got the house broth which was equally bland and watery. We had to mix several sauces from the buffet bar to give the meats some kick. Many similar restaurants have fried chicken but this place did not. Ice cream and drinks are an additional charge.Overall, this is not a bad restaurant, but when a nearby competing restaurant has thicker, more flavorful broths, a more diverse buffet bar, fried chicken, drink included, and a soft serve ice cream machine for roughly the same price, Shabuya isn't worth it.

Solid AYCE shabu shabu spot in Alhambra. I think the floors can be cleaner, but it could just be that they are really old. At the time of my visit, it was raining outside, and they had buckets here and there to catch water dripping from the ceiling..They get crowded for dinner. I had to wait for a table on a week night. I only had three people in my party. There is plenty of parking because the parking lot is huge! It's near Big 5 and Top Island, but it's closer to the market and behind Starbucks. Each person has an individual pot and stove. You choose the soup base. You have the option to choose two soup bases, but what is weird is they will combine the two soups together! Had I known that, I would have just gotten one. I don't prefer to drink a mixed soup, but I guess it all goes down into the same place anyway. You order the meat from the server, 3-4 plates at a time. I think the meat was good. All the veggies, sauces, rice, and other ingredients are at the self-serve bars in the back. There are two rows, so there is a large variety!

My first time, and I enjoyed it, the price a bit high, so it might be a while before I come back, but soon...I like the choices,

Loved this spot. I have previously been to one in LA, which is good too but can get crowded. Each person gets their own individual burner and bowl, so no one has to reach over each other. There was no wait time to be seated, and the food was delicious. The only negative thing I can say is it seemed there were only two servers and they seemed overwhelmed. Not cool. I'm not sure if it was just that day or if they are short staffed. So be aware. Other than that, it is a great place to grab lunch or meet with friends and family.

Celebrated with a group of friends here and had a great time. We made reservations the morning of and were able to fit a party of 8. Very popular location and gets crowded at dinner. The staff was helpful and kind. Service is fantastic. The tables are clean, ingredients are well organized and fresh. Plenty of tasty options to choose from, especially different meats and seafood. You get your own individual pot so you can customize the soup/spice you want. Spicy seems decently spicy here. Prices are typical and expected for the quality. Definitely check it out if you’re nearby!

They won't come to your table to ask what you need, but you can stop any worker walking by and ask for what you want. Food is fresh and slightly above average. Terra beer paired well with the food.

This place is awesome!Service has always been great.Pricing for all you can eat is fair and you get to enjoy a buffet of not only vegetables but also seafood aside from the usual shabu shabu of meat selection.Beef belly, rib eye and specially lamb are always on our selection! You pick out a soup base and they have about 5-6 to choose from and select the meat options you want to start with then head over to the buffet for your array of veg and seafood to cook. I always make my own sauces and bring a helpful of ginger, garlic, chili crisp and sesame oil to the table to customize my broth more. There is also some hot dishes like teokbokki, chapchae, sesame balls and eggs rolls that you can indulge in.We have been here too many times and have brought people over with us and always, the experience is enjoyable.

Tastes like other Shabuyas. Decent but not great. The meat quality at All that Shabu on Main Street is better and thinner. It's a little rough and thick here. The buffet bar is good with fresh veggies and seafood. You can waitlist on open table. Plenty of parking as it's part of a larger plaza. Would come if other places are busy

There's a reason why this place ALWAYS has a long wait! Shabuya is a go-to place for hot pot. Broths are served individually and you get to choose from a big selection (you can even mix up two broths together!). You also let the waiter know what kind of meats you'd like and they bring that out to you. Then from there, you're able to help yourself buffet-style to veggies, seafoods, and building your own sauce.I highly recommend getting the sukiyaki broth, it's my go-to always. Although it can be argued that this spot is good for big groups, the seating can be a little frustrating. Since everyone has their own pots of hot pot, they give a lot of table space. Every time I've been, we would be a group of 6. The max to a table is 4 and then they would tag the other 2 people at the table next to it. So conversations between the two tables were distanced, which can be challenging. My biggest tip is to get there early and NOT when you're hangry! Wait times vary but from the past few times I've been, the wait was usually 45-60 minutes. Can't wait to get my hot-pot fix here the next time I'm in town!

Shabuya is one of my "go-to" spots in Alhambra when I am craving some shabu. It's all you can eat for both hot pot + hot food options and there's always plenty of items to choose from. They close late and despite it being difficult to find parking and the long wait time during both lunch + dinner , everything including the service is excellent! Shabuya in Alhambra is highly recommended by me. :)

? As a foodie, I've always had my sights set on experiencing the pot of happiness at Shabuya Alhambra. So, on New Year's Day, we ventured in with our son, eager to indulge in their promise of premium all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu at an affordable price.? Claiming to be the abode of happiness in a pot, Shabuya delivers a gastronomic adventure with freshly cut meats, a cornucopia of vegetables, an array of seafood, oden, and noodles. The menu diversity definitely impresses.✨ Our dining experience was pleasant; the ambiance was clean, and the service was attentive, elevating our visit. The meats were undeniably fresh, giving off a premium vibe that matched their claim. The seafood and vegetable buffet counters were brimming with delightful choices, catering to various tastes.? However, one aspect fell a tad short of expectations—the cooked food dishes. With only four options available, it felt limited compared to the extensive raw selection.⏱️ It's important to note that dining here is time-bound, capped at a 90-minute limit. Despite this, we departed feeling completely satisfied and stuffed after our flavorful rendezvous with shabu-shabu delights.? Overall, Shabuya Alhambra lives up to its promise of offering quality ingredients and a memorable dining experience. For shabu-shabu enthusiasts seeking a diverse spread within a budget-friendly, time-constrained setting, this spot is worth a visit. Our journey here left us content, having savored the freshest of ingredients and enjoyed commendable service.
