Best service. Food tastes fresh. And the presentation is beautiful. Reasonable prices. This is one of the best sushi restaurants. I've been this in this area. ? My kids loved it, too!

Glad to finally try this place and I am very pleased with our experience. Quite unexpected due to location but the food and service were amazing. We enjoyed the fresh sashimi and all the Izakaya we ordered in the picture. I will come back to this place for sure.

I love the sashimi here since it's so fresh and delicious. Most definitely the sashimi platter and Hokkaido scallops! Our waiter was nice and was able to recommend the sashimi platter full of assorted sashimi.Love how the restaurant has touches of Japanese especially with the koi fish pond and cherry blossom.

Parking: Located at the back of In N Out, they have their parking lot that is gated off and separate from In N Out. Interior: SO BEAUTIFUL!! Inside looks so spacious and there are about two sushi bars and tables throughout the restaurant. It gives you a mix of old-school sushi but a little classy restaurant.Food: Kushiyaki Lunch Set (5 pc grilled skewer, California roll, miso soup) their grilled skewers were a bit cold and rubbery. I would just stick to getting skewers at places where you can see it grilled in front of you. California roll had more flavor than the skewers. Primo Sushi and Sashimi Bento (5 pcs nigiri sushi, 5 pc sashimi, mixed tempura, salad, miso soup) only during lunch special. My favorite set to get, good for its value and quality to share with 2 people if you want to try a bit of sashimi. Their sashimi is so fresh and buttery. Nice set of variety. Their salad is fresh and is nicely paired by their miso-based dressing.

Service is pleasant. Food was very disappointing and even worse because of the excessive cost (we were already committed so hard to leave). We had: pork katsu (Very very dry) -$22.00; salmon skin salad—ok but over sauced; "baby chirashi" was $32 —-$32 for baby chirashi that isnt even premium!; wasabi was Totally flavorless—not exaggerating. they charge if you ask for other wasabi. Total=$130 for lunch + tip for mediocre food (overall). For shame.

Nestled in a corner but hard to miss. The iconic instagram symbol on their building makes this yummy treasure noticeable and memorable!Been here a couple of times now and I'll forever keep coming back. If you love juicy, thick, almost melts in your mouth salmon - this is the place to go. Order their salmon lover plate! You won't be saying it wasn't enough salmon. Excellent portion and the cut of their sashimi pieces was perfect. Parking lot is never full which I love! Ambiance is tranquil as soon as you walk in. A serene fountain, dim lighting, and beautiful cherry blossom trees all over to truly make you feel like you're walking into a scenic painting. Great for groups, dates, and even hanging out with family on the weekends. Booths and tables make it easy to accommodate just about anything. Menu is almost never ending. They've mastered the art of offering a variety. Tried the fried tofu appetizer, miso soup, and salmon skin salad. My favorite was the tofu. Nice crispy texture on the outside but still amazingly soft on the inside. Four pieces wasn't enough for my hunger. Shared the dragon and Hawaiian roll but had the salmon lovers plate to myself. It was a mouthful but delicious. This place is truly a hidden find! Stop by if you can build up the strength to drive pass the in n out next door. But it'll be worth it if you do stop in.

Wa Sushi is my family's favorite place in Alhambra for sushi. We come here about twice a month. Wa is comparable to other more expensive restaurants in Little Tokyo. The fish is fresh and portions are great. They also have skewers which are amazing but make sure you order a couple different ones to try. The servers are always nice. Its amazing how many regulars come by and are recognized by the servers. We usually see Hara and she is absolutely super sweet. Chefs and helpers are great too. The atmosphere is calming. You won't regret stopping by.

Brought my friend since childhood here for her birthday . Beautiful restaurant with a decorated interior of cherry blossoms and many sectioned off rooms to be seated in.Didn't enjoy the Agedashi tofu. The sauce is WAY too sweet. Disappointed.Ika Geso was tasty, seasoned well and crispy.Would recommend the Toro Uni bowl. Negi Toro was delicious on a bed of rice of beside a serving of deliciously sweet and fresh Uni topped with some sort of caviar and a bit of ikura. Portion was just enough for one person. If you are a big eater this probably wouldn't be enough. I would pass on blue crab bowl unless you REALLY like blue crab. It was dry blue crab shreds on a bed of rice with uni and ikura much like the Tuna bowl. Would come back just for that Uni though. Service was fine, since we rarely hangout, my friend and I were constantly talking and the waitress seemed extremely reluctant to interrupt us.. it was a bit awkward. but besides that it was fine.

An assuming sushi restaurant on the corner of Atlantic and Garfield, right next to In n Out. I've passed by this restaurant for years and decided to stop by when craving sushi for dinner. I had no expectations but by the time dinner was over, I became a fan! I've said this before but if you come to a sushi restaurant, you should always sit at the bar. If you're served by sushi chefs who are personable and great at their profession, it's likely you'll have a good time and get to try their off the menu recommendations. That is exactly what happened tonight. After making small talk with the sushi chefs, I found out they were under new management and that their seafood was flown in every 1-2 weeks. We even got a grilled fish head on the house, which was such a treat! In exchange, we offered some sake shots and got to know our sushi chefs more. The rolls were standard and the sushi was fresh and great. The wait staff is great too. Everyone's super attentive and nice. I'll definitely be back.

I feel mixed about this place. I've only ever ordered take out, so I can't speak to how it is inside. The packaging of their takeout is amazing, usually put it in a cardboard box, with the rolls individually packaged. The first time I got sushi from here I'd say it was a 5/5 - we tried various rolls, with the scallops and tuna being especially good. The second time, I ordered rolls but also some nigiri. The nigiri was pretty terrible. Stringy, hard pieces in our nigiri to the point some was inedible. Tuna nigiri was fine, I believe it was the amberjack or red snapper that was not good. Maybe it was an off day, it happens. But there's too many sushi spots, (and with sushi being expensive), for me to want to try this place again. But I'd say the rolls were pretty solid.

We first visited Wa Sushi a year ago for my daughter's birthday; she wanted to return this year. This place is exceptional. Three of us split an 18-piece moriawase and a salmon plate, substituting a sunset roll for the standard salmon roll (for a $10 upcharge). Everything was delicious -- the quality of the fish is stellar. The texture and flavor of the sashimi could not be better; it practically melts in your mouth. The sunset roll (salmon, avocado, yuzu) is marvelous: sharp, sweet, creamy, spicy. We also ordered cocktails -- a lavender Collins and a lychee martini. The drinks are crisp and not overly sweet. Service is personal and attentive. We highly recommend Wa. It's a celebration even if you're not observing a birthday.
