Top notch Sushi! I've been coming here since they opened and I'm in love with this place. First, Chef Masa is the nicest most friendly Chef there is, and all his staff are friendly and spot on with water refills and quick service. The fish he gets is some of the freshest and best quality out there. For cooked food Try the salmon collar. It's the melt in your mouth part of the salmons neck and cheek, and prepared expertly! Everything I've had, from the fresh oysters, the halibut carpaccio, the Takowasa, and Takoyaki, they spicy yellow tail lover roll and al the sashimi- has been perfect. Can't recommend enough !

Had some sushi rolls, veggie tempura, and eel pieces. The California roll has a lightly mayoed imitation crab salad inside, which was a nice change up from the kani pieces. The veggie roll had just green veggies inside. The eel sushi pieces were AMAZING and my absolute favorite. Our spicy yellowtail was not spicy at all, but still so fresh. The veggie tempura was delightful. The server took the time to talk to the chef about what the tempura sauce is after my partner asked. The servers were so smiley and friendly and everyone greeted you on the way in and out which is cute and fun!

We last minute decided to eat here for sushi right before closing and I was so glad I did! Still thinking about the sushi here. The menu is authentic sushi with so many tasty options. We had the sashimi dinner and the pieces were so good and high quality. The grilled squid was cooked perfectly and a great addition. The staff were so friendly and attentive. Can't wait to come back for one of the best sushi restaurants I have had. The place is small so not ideal for big parties or groups.

Very mediocre sushi restaurant in Aliso Viejo that I probably won't be eating at again since it's out of my way and very ordinary. We sat at the sushi bar and the chef was very nice. My cucumber salad and garlic edamame were lacking in flavor. The sashimi was fresh so 3 stars for basic sushi. Nothing bad, nothing great.

This place is hands down the best sushi I've had. Me and my wife came here once a few months ago and kept thinking about it so we booked it for Valentine's Day as well. We always get the sashimi platter, which has really fresh fish. They must fly them in from Japan or something (at least that's what it tastes like). The black cod misoyaki is so die for. Best thing on the menu. Crispy rice with tuna is a really good appetizer. And their volcano roll is bomb. If you're a soft shell crab person, I'd highly recommend the spider roll. Overall, really great place with superb customer service (the sushi chefs are always in a good mood too and talk to you). Don't go anywhere else if you live locally for sushi. Trust me ( we made that mistake).

These are the former sushi chefs from Taiko, which was my go to for sushi. Good quality, good portions, and very fresh. It is a small place, so can be kind of noisy when crowded. Get there when it is not crowded.
