Should have sat out back by the waterfall - something for next time. Food was solid! My steak sando was great and the ciabatta bread was some of the best I’ve ever had!

This place is next door to Janet's, the food is of great quality with large portions. I had the rib special that was definitely slow cooked, tender and flavorful. One of our go to spots with a cool vibe. Huge selection of beers and fairly priced. The staff works hard and care about your dining experience. I've had several meals here and have never been disappointed. Thank you.

On kids menu they serve boxed Mac and cheese. Was shocked and charge alot for it. They need to change this.

rustic ambiance with a country tavern feel. It seems like you may find a lumberjack or a cowboy here. Selection of beers on tap is good. Even the root beer is good. We enjoyed an enormous plate of delicious fish n chips with coleslaw and fries. Everything was very very delicious. Service was great. If you are going through Alpine, DEFINITELY have a drink and/or meal at the Alpine Tavern!!

I stopped by for a late lunch and walked into a place that I wanted to stay all day! What an inviting ambience! Oh yeah, lunch: Started with a cup of French onion soup - very tasty with great beef broth, lots of onions, and yummy chewy cheese on top. The reuben was on grilled marble rye with tasty corned beef, not overpowering kraut, and nice Russian dressing - as good as at any deli I've eaten. Service was friendly, quick, very knowledgeable, and what a smile. The chef was personable too and rightly proud of his work. I will definitely be back with friends.

I may be biased because I have only eaten here after a long hike when I'm famished. A meal here is actually something my husband and I look forward to. With that being said, we'd probably be regulars - hike or not - if we lived closer. It's a seat-yourself, casual establishment with a great outdoor patio, my preference. The parking lot has several spots, but if they are all taken, there's plenty of street parking as well. Now, on to the food -- the portions are generous and everything I've had has been delicious. A mound of crisp bacon on the BLTs; the juiciest of burgers with a patty that extends well beyond the bun; crispy fries - you can't ask for much more. Beers come in frosty mugs and water glasses are consistently refilled. The prices are a few dollars more per item than your average bar and grill, but I think the quality is worth it. We've also always had excellent, attentive service. So, even though this place started as a convenient stop post-hike, it's turned into a must-stop whenever we're nearby.

I came in and was ignored for a half hour on the patio by the staff walking by my dog and I. Looked delicious but I’ll never come back.

Destination was a different restaurant that ended up being closed. So this was the default place. Turned out...it was amazing! Patty melts and steak sandwich. So well and perfectly cooked. Our server, tall and blond, was so nice. When my sister snagged to bill and laughingly told her it was my birthday she told me happy birthday! And then brought us a delicious brownie/ice cream dessert on the house! This may very well become our go those few times we want to eat out. Thank you Alpine Bar & Grill for the best birthday dinner!!
