Definitely no doubt, Carnitas Don Julian are the best tasting carnitas I’ve ever eaten. You can compare these to any others in Orange County and/or areas around, I guarantee every time we go, they always have the same delicious taste, always satisfying for the whole family. I tried this place on a recommendation. The first time I ate there it was very good I had their 3 garnita tacos and a soft drink. I actually drove all the way back from my home in the city of orange to this spot in Santa Ana for a second meal. Unfortunately the second meal was not of the same quality as the first and in the end I accepted a refund of my money maybe it was just a one-off bad day.

First time coming here and this place was delicious. The carnitas weren’t that greasy, they had like a perfect slight crisp to them, they weren’t that fatty. All I can say is this is the best place to come and eat carnitas!!!

Amazing people, amazing food, I sat at patio waiting for them to open because my car broke down, owner made sure I was taken care of with car and with a belly full. Carnitas are excellent. I’m calling this spot my home away from home
Small hole in the wall with fresh and juicy carnitas like they do michoacan. Remind me of when my parents used to have gatherings back home with escabeche and tortillas hechas a mano.

I got a referral from a friend who visited the restaurant a month ago and said the carnitas were very good. I had to try for a small gathering Saturday 2/10/23. The food was a hit, everyone enjoyed their tacos. Meat was moist and Cueritos were so tasty. I also got a green salsa container but the escabeche made here was better.

Located off of 1st st in Santa Ana, carnitas son Julian offers ...... you guessed it, Carnitas!!! This was a Yelp find as I was in the area working and became hangry!!! To be honest I didn't really know how to order carnitas and the people working were super friendly and explained to me. You can order the food depending on how fatty you want the meat-- so I ended ordering the leanest carnitas, and a 1lb is plenty for two people to eat. I thought I could handle hot salsa-- nope. They make various salsas that while delicious they definitely are HOT. I definitely recommend giving CDJ a chance, let's support this restaurant!!!! :) 3/2023

Soliamos ir a comer ahi de hecho el sabor y sazon no tiene comparacion con ningunas que he probado estan riquisimas.ahora hablemos de la confusion con los precios es un desastre que si pides cuero,buche,costilla etc es mas que si pides mazisa es menos que si pides tortillas pero quieres mas te cobran que cada salsa es mas que si comes ahy es mas no entiendo al final es un completo desastre mi recomendacion es cobrar un solo precio aun que este sea caro repito sabor 100% bueno precio y confusion 0
