MFK where old meets the new and produce deliciousness. I applaud and appreciate the chef's twist on his home favorites. If you have anyone who has been unsure about trying Filipino food but needs a good intro, bring them here! The familiarity of some dishes will help ease them into the rest of Filipino cuisine. The chef was super nice when we initially visited. I haven't back in a minute but looking forward to returning when I can. Seemed like a very humble man. All the food was delicious. Comforting, flavorful and nicely balanced. Definitely would recommend MFK.

Practically a small hole in the wall that can seat only 3, maybe 4 large groups? I'd say 20/table. An excellent place to come for communal style Filipino food. KAMAYAN "eating with hands" featuring the protein staples of the culture, lumpia, tomato salad and fruits. We came to celebrate with friends and selected the shrimp, adobo, bbq chicken, pork belly.... Everything was set up for us prior to our reservation, which was made several months in advance (we went pre-Covid).Having only had Filipino cuisine a handful of times, I think everything was laid out beautifully and tasted good. My favorites were the chicken dishes because it had a bit more flavor. I think this is an interactive, fun option for a big group and would do it again with family one day.

I live in the San Gabriel Valley, but there aren't many Filipino food in my area, but one of my Yelper Friend's posting caught my attention and had me bringing a bunch of friends down to OC area to check them out. The Kamayan they have on the pictures looked irresistible. You have to make reserve the Kamayan meal before arrival because they have to set up the tables and cover the table with Banana leaves and food.Unfortunately, my friends were not in agreement and did not want to spend that amount of money on the Kamayan, so we opted for the cheaper options from their regular menu. I went with the Chicken Adobo (classic dish) and it was delicious. Basically, it is chicken braised & cooked with Fresh garlic, Filipino Adobo Sauce (spiced vinegar & soy sauce), topped with scallions & fried garlic. Loved Loved Loved the rice that came with my bowl too.Highly recommending this place with you are looking for something a little different but reasonably priced.

MFK is one of the newest Filipino restaurants around and has already dominated the Filipino community. This restaurant is absolutely bomb! I love everything about them. If you're new to Filipino food, you can go with the sisig, or Lechon Kawali. Both are pork dishes that you have to try. I always get them for all my friends. They also have other classic dishes for my Filipino family like tapsilog or sinigang. The sinigang is on the stronger side in my opinion but it's really good. They also have tater tots with any choice of meat to keep things modern. I really enjoy this with their pork belly adobo. It gives me such a food coma though haha. If it doesn't give you a heart attack, then it's probably not that good. This is that good though! The only thing wrong here is that I moved farther away. I would definitely recommend this place!
