This restaurant is CLOSED permanently as of 9/9/21. New restaurant called Non's Kitchen is here now.

This is my first time here. My daughter picked it because she is crazy about the food and it is near Angels Stadium. I ordered Arroz con Pollo - chicken with yellow rice, savory sauce, and plantains. I never expected it to be so good. Everything was delicious. This is a family business. Ample portions. The drinks were a little different-not Coke or Pepsi products. Comes with refills.

The best Cuban place I have been to. Everything was absolutely delicious. We ordered arroz con mariscos- The flavor was so good, rice was fluffy and adding lemon on the dish just made it even better! Also ordered yuca frita con lechon. The pork was so tender! Third dish we got was the ropa vieja which was seasoned so well and my family could not get enough. One last thing which made this trip to this place even better was their pastellitos! Ohhhhh my. There are no words for that guava and cream cheese and the breading was fluffy and flaky. I will definitely come back! Staff was great to us and accommodating as well.

First time tasting Cuban dishes. Service & food just great. Fresh & good portions. We had the empanadas & the Cuban sandwich with papitas. I think shaved fried banana? But delicious.

Even thou this restaurant is kind of hidden, it's a hidden gem. It's in the middle of this small shopping strip and surrounded by business buildings and Tesla supercharger stations. We were craving for a tasty Cuban restaurant and we found it. Great atmosphere, they have a wall full of beautiful pictures of cuba, their place is so clean and the service is exceptional. loved their camarón al mojo de ajo, they give you big portions which it's always good specially when you're so hungry like we were. My husband loved his food too, he finished it all. They serve you in these plastic containers that at first it throws you off specially when you said you wanted to dine in but I think is genius. If you have any left overs, just put the top back on and go. They only have one kind of fried empanadas. (Shredded Beef) they're so good we had to place a second order. Their prices are pretty fair. We enjoyed our time at Papos. Thank you for everything Mr Papos:) We enjoyed our time at your hidden gem. We're definitely coming back.

It is absolutely delicious. I come from the Inland Empire just to eat. Service is fenominal.

We've lived in so-cal our entire lives, and my wife is Cuban as are her parents. I'm pretty sure we've been to every Cuban restaurant within 25 miles. Papo's is, by a fair margin, the best Cuban food we've ever had. My wife's mom, born and raised in Cuba, agreed. She admits that she couldn't claim to make better food than this, and she's not sure her own mother did either. Tostones are big and super crispy. Mariquitas are light and delicate and not the least bit oily. Lechon is shockingly tender with a deep roasted flavor. The chicken in Arroz con Pollo is even more tender than the pork, so moist, and more long roasted flavor, and the rice tastes like it's been sitting in a stew pot for hours. Cuban sandwich uses the fantastic Lechon as well as a nice ham and good cheese. The bread is crisply toasted but soft inside. The entire meal was "holiday good" - food so deeply comforting that we're reminded of a Thanksgiving dinner. The appetizers were great too; we all agreed better than Porto's. The papa rellena and empanada were especially great. The thing that impressed me most here is salt. A lot of Cuban places oversalt. Papo's salts their food with a restrained hand, and I really appreciated it.

This is a great place for Cuban food. The Cubano sandwich is $10.50 and comes with plenty of tender pork, topped with ham, cheese, mustard and pickles. The side choices are fried plantains, tostanos or french fries. I had the tostanos. They were hot and crisp. We also tried the papa rellenos. These were tasty. Lightly breaded mashed potatoes with ground beef in the center and were perfectly fried. The service was top notch. The owner, Papo, served us himself and was incredibly helpful with the menu.

Came here around 3pm during a weekday. Place was super clean and the staff was friendly. Food was pretty good! We were in the mood for a great Cuban sandwich. So glad we found this gem. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed. BTW, the hours of operation are different from what's on Yelp. Give them a call before you go so you don't waste a trip.

We stopped by for lunch, and everything was delicious. Citrus chicken was tender, juicy and very flavorful. Maduros (fried plantains), beans rice, pork sandwich and chicken sandwich were all very good. We are in the restaurant, and there are about 6-8 tables. They seem to do a strong take out business. Highly recommend.

Very nice people! The oxtail was so tender & fall off the bone delicious. The plantains was tasty except the tostones were on the dry side. The arroz con pollo was good, just wish the rice wasn't mushy. Support this small family business.

The pork on the cubano sandwich was freezer-burned/gross and the sandwich itself was bland. Arroz chicken dish was very bland. Overpriced. Bathroom with no soap…?! Would not go again

DELICIOUS!! I was craving a Cuban Sandwich and this place did not disappoint! The pork was seasoned just right and very tender. I also got a Chicken plate that my son really enjoyed, I will definitely come back and try something else, close to home so I'm glad I don't have to drive to Orange anymore to curb my Cuban craving!!
