“The food was good. Good portions and it was very spicy, ordered the hottest spice level tender, while the heat lived up to my expectations, unfortunately the thing that I’m looking for in a chicken tender is the outside crunch when you bite into it. Hopefully this isnt how it’s supposed to be normally because personally I feel that the crunchy surface of a chicken is the best part. I’ve been to Dave’s a lot before and while they serve smaller tenders than here, the crunch is present unlike the tenders here at Roostarz. I would love to go back here again but I’m worried that it might not be any better next time in terms of just my preference, but maybe that’s just me and I’m being overly picky.“

“Caution ⚠️ the mild is HOT ? & the HOT is the devils! ?. For the majority of people the mild will be the ideal balance between flavor & heat. For the brave souls who dare to try the hot & up! God bless lol yes the hot is only their mid level. They have 2 levels higher & the last one you have to sign a waiver!? all in all the food is definitely delicious! The fries are amazing! The Mac & cheese is MID nothing special but the sliders & the rub (medium) is smacking lick your fingers good! Didn't try their slaw.“

“Fantastic!! The food was fresh, served hot and so tasty. We shared between us the catfish, shrimp & sticky fried ribs. Everything was delicious. The yams literally melt in your mouth. My sister had the greens & she said they were seasoned perfectly. We both agreed the gravy on the rice was a little spicy but my bro 'n law loved it. This is now my go to spot in Sacramento.Parking: Not many spaces available for parking on the side streets.“

“First time coming to Cracker Barrel and had a really yummy meal and awesome experience. Felt like walking back in time or like we were visiting a museum because of all the artifacts representing old country life right here in the city, it was lovely to see. Not only is this a restaurant but they also have a store. That was the biggest shocker for me.The food was absolutely delicious, we ordered the Southern Fried Chicken, Grilled Chicken Tenders, Barrel cheeseburger. The biscuits are the best I've tested outside home cooked biscuits. Before we came here were were set to eat somewhere else and my son was skeptical about CB. Just a few minutes into eating he admitted the food won him over and he can't wait to return! The atmosphere is so calming and peaceful, I really loved the decorations. Also, the staff were super friendly and helpful and even showed us around the store and answered any questions we had. Can't wait to go back!“

“We are from out of town and many times we will go for some BBQ because we are from Kansas City, so checking out what passes for BBQ in other states is always fun. I like to look for burnt ends but I already knew that typically you don't see them in California, but they had porkbelly burnt end appetizer so we had those and they were great. I went with a pick 2 plate with babybacks and jalapeno cheddar sausage with potatoe salad and beans for sides. To me the sauce and beans typically tell me if they are serious about BBQ and both were great. The beans were a little undercooked but they had so much flavor Im not going to complain about the beans and the sauce especially the spicy was perfect. Ribs were ok, but the sausage was fantastic and my buddy got a sampler that had the texas red hot sausage and that stuff is no joke. The rolls and butter were awesome and the huge galsses for beveages was perfect. The only issue that we had was the dessert. Of course we didnt go with either option that the server suggested but we went with bannana pudding and a brownie. The brownie was very dry and the pudding just tasted wrong possibly a little old I really have no idea, but we took them togo because we were absolutely stuffed, so we just tossed them in the trash. The only other thing that I didn't prefer was that someone in the back really liked green onions, so the porkbelly and my potatoe salad were absolutely covered in them and I.m not a big fan especially on the porkbelly it didnt make any sense let those chunks of BBQ speak for themselves they dont need random green all over. Anyway it was a great experience and loved the BBQ. Would have loved to see KC called out somewhere with it ranking as some of the best BBQ in the world.“
