I bought catfish fillet and then the next morning I had horrible stomach pain and I'm still dealing with throwing up. haven't been able to get any sleep and i even went to ER the pain was that bad. never buying again.

First off, don't base your decision off of someone else's experience. Loitering is almost at every business, so order pick up.Problem solvedFor me at least. Everything was perfect. Hospitality was on deck And a two meal order is enough for 3 people. Going back indeed, and I recommend for your own experience.

Spent almost $80 for me,my wife and 2 kids. The wings looked like they were from Cornish hens. I ordered myself a 3 way with catfish and large prawns. The catfish was fake, maybe basa but definitely not catfish. Waste of money.

I was craving soul food and decided to try JJ's. The chicken was mid, I didnt understand why the salt and pepper the chicken after it is cooked. I literally brushed the salt and pepper off. The Kraft Mac and cheese was terrible and the greens watery and unseasoned. I haven't tried the peach cobbler yet, but it seems to be bought from a vendor in Hayward, not actually cooked by them. I will not be back.

Excellent selection of freshwater fish and plants. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Definitely stop in for all you fish care needs.
This will be my last time coming to this location. I felt unsafe and was afraid the entire time I was in the store. So many guys hanging outside the store staring and begging. It wasnt a good feeling at all. The food wasn't bad at all. But I will go to a different location next time.

My favorite thing to order from them is the fried oysters! Always perfect. And I love their gumbo! I tried the tilapia and didn't like it at all. They substituted that order with catfish and it was delicious.

Not the best fried fish I've ever had. Fish n hush puppies had seasoning put on after they were cooked. So much that even after trying to dust it off it was still too salty n the hush puppies were on the verge of being burnt. Couldn't eat them. Bummer because I've wanted to try them n had hoped it would be good like Off The Hook or Las Palma's in Oakland but nah. Maybe if they get new cooks n season the cornmeal n hush puppy batter before cooking instead of throwing a bunch of season salt on after it would taste better.
